Week in Review: Helicopters, Theaters and ‘Shush’

On Thursday the Baltimore police showed off their new helicopters to the news media. The fleet of four helicopters cost the city $9.5 million and replaced aircraft that have been in service since 2001.

The Baltimore Development Corp. confirmed Thursday that it is putting together a deal to sell the theater to its current operators James “Buzz” Cusack and his business partner and daughter Kathleen Cusack.

Johns Hopkins University Community Liaison Carrie Bennett, aka The Shush Lady, is leaving the school to take care of her father in Carlisle, PA. Bennett has been praised as instrumental in improving the relationship between students and residents of surrounding communities.    

The Young Victorian Theater Company, which has called Bryn Mawr’s campus home since 1989, announced that they’ve found a new home down Roland Avenue at the Roland Park Country School. The company will make its debut there next summer performing the HMS Pinafore.
