Cruises, comedy and chocolate: What more could you need? Don't miss these events happening this Fourth of July weekend.

Thursday, July 4

Roland Park Fourth of July Parade
Roland Park Library, 5108 Roland Ave., Baltimore, 10 a.m.
Join neighborhood residents for the parade, "patriotic formalities" and free popsicles.  

Mt. Washington Fourth of July Celebration
Springwell Senior Living, 2211 W. Rogers Ave., Baltimore 10 a.m.
Come join the parade led by Engine 45, say the Pledge and sing the National Anthem. Then comeback to Springwell for a moon bounce, games and live music. 

Dundalk Independence Day Parade and Fireworks
Logan Village Shopping Center, 3409 Dundalk Ave, Baltimore, 8:15 a.m.
Watch the parade through town. Then, enjoy the 2013 Dundalk Fourth of July Fireworks starting at 9:15 p.m.  While the fireworks can be viewed in numerous sites throughout Dundalk, they are primarily centered around the North Point Government Center.

Visionary Pets on Parade
American Visionary Museum, 800 Key Highway, Baltimore, 10 a.m.
Dress up your pet for a chance to win costume superlatives and prizes. Friendly pets of all kinds are welcome. The parade is followed by a pet talent show and a game of pet musical chairs. Pets must be leashed or carried. Water and baggies provided. Registration begins at 9:30 and is free and open to the public.

Towson Fourth of July Parade
Bosley and Burke avenues, Towson, 10 a.m.
Celebrate and thank those who have served our country at Towson's parade.

Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration
Inner Harbor Amphitheater, Pratt and Light streets, Baltimore, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.Celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in Baltimore's historic Inner Harbor! The holiday celebration features live music starting with U.S. Naval Academy Band Electric Brigade performing Top 40 tunes, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The 18-minute fireworks show, produced by Pyrotecnico, is choreographed to music and goes from two barges docked in the harbor. In addition to the Baltimore Inner Harbor promenade, the fireworks can be viewed from Federal Hill, Fell’s Point and Harbor East.

Wit & Wisdom's Fourth of July Celebration
Four Seasons Hotel, 200 International Drive, Baltimore, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Celebrate America's 237th birthday Harbor East-style with its annual waterfront celebration, featuring classic American BBQ fare, musical entertainment, a kid's zone with crafts and activities and a panoramic view of the Inner Harbor and Domino Sugar fireworks. Seating is first come, first serve. Reserved seating available with Four Seasons Baltimore Fourth of July Rooms Package. Purchase tickets online or book hotel rooms package by calling 410-576-5800. Wit & Wisdom will close after 2:00pm in order to prepare for the festivities.

Picnic at the Top of the World
World Trade Center, 401 E. Pratt Street, 27th floor, Baltimore, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Come and enjoy music, food and a great view of the Fourth of July Celebration fireworks at Top of the World Observation Level. Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for children. For more information, call 410-837-8439.

Star Spangled Spectacular

Oregon Ridge Nature Center & Park, 13401 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Red, white and blue -- and patriotic fun too! Join the BSO for its annual holiday celebration featuring Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever and many more while watching a dazzling display of fireworks. Plus, hear the BSO's "O, Say Can You Sing" contest winner perform The Star Spangled Banner.

Friday, July 5

Creative Alliance's First Fridays, ft. Baltimore Circus with Baltimore Hoop Love
3134 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Stiltwalkers, big puppets, hula hooping, juggling and more! Join street performers on the sidewalks of Eastern and East avenues on July's first Friday.

BIG's American History
Mobtown Theater, 3600 Clipper Mill Road, Suite 114, Baltimore, 8 p.m.
The Baltimore Improv Group's first sketch comedy show in February was so successful that they're bringing it back today and tomorrow. Check out some hilarious "American history"-themed sketch comedy to honor your Fourth of July weekend.

Chautauqua
Locations vary, 7 p.m.
Join the Maryland Humanities Council for interactive, family-friendly presentations from July 5 to July 14 at eight sites across Maryland. They will bring to life three key figures of the twentieth century, representing turning points in American history: Rachel Carson, Amelia Earhart and Jackie Robinson.

Saturday, July 6

BMI July 4th Celebration
1415 Key Highway, Baltimore, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Enjoy a beautiful view of fireworks on the Baltimore Museum of Industry's waterfront campus at this family-friendly event with games, museum galleries, refreshments and drinks for sale (or pack a picnic). Gates open at 6:00 p.m. rain or shine. No glass bottles, pets or grills. No refunds. Fireworks managed by the City of Baltimore. Advanced online ticketing strongly recommended: $55 per car or $45 per BMI member car. Day-of tickets: $60 per car or $50 per BMI member car. Walk-in tickets: $7 per person (children under 2 free).

National Anthem Tour By Sea
Light Street Finger Piers, 555 Light Street, Baltimore 11:30 a.m.
This narrated hour-long cruise celebrates the War of 1812 bicentennial. No reservations required. All cruises depart from the Light Street Finger Piers. Tickets may be purchased at the Watermark Ticket Kiosk on the dock. Find its big red boat and big purple boat in between the Science Center and Baltimore Visitor Center. You can also check out evening cruises.

Sunday, July 7

Linganore Wine Cellars: All-American Day on the Farm
13601 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, noon to 5 p.m.
Spend the afternoon on the farm with a bazaar of locally made arts and crafts, live music and more. Join chocolatier Paul Wockenfuss of Wockenfuss Chocolates and staff from Wegmans cheese department in a tasting that pairs American cheeses and locally made chocolates with Linganore's wines. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the MS Society. Tickets are $15 each and include wine tasting, souvenir wine glass and food samples. Rain or shine. No refunds.

Ladew Topiary Gardens: Summer Concert Series
3535 Jarrettsville Pike, Monkton, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Top off your Fourth of July weekend with Trinidad & Tobago, a dynamic 40-piece steel orchestra bringing music of the Caribbean right to the heart of Harford County.
