Beauticians, stylists, and barbers are defacto counselors on the front lines of helping people with problems.  At times you may relish talking with people.  At other times you may be watching the clock imagining the tip from your next impatient customer in the waiting room fading away…

Professional counselors Lorah “Bess” Hauf LCPC and Michael Reeder LCPC would like to teach you the most essential listening skills that professional counselors use.  We can teach you how to listen in a nonjudgmental way that keeps you out of debates.  We will teach you to get clients to open up more – or shutdown and be quiet.  We will teach you suicide warning signs and other factors that suggest when your client really needs professional psychological help.
