Wind Ensemble Concert - Naval Academy Band


The Naval Academy Band Wind Ensemble, conducted by Lieutenant Commander Bruce McDonald, will present a program on February 23 at 9 am at the Baltimore Convention Center. 


 


The program, entitled Old and New, will feature music from the baroque to the twentieth century.  The concert will include Giovanni Gabrieli’s Sonata XVIII arranged by Musician First Class Christopher Buchanan, Toccata Marziale by Ralph Vaughn Williams, March, Op. 99 by Sergei Prokofiev, and El Salon Mexico by Aaron Copland.

Featured soloists will include clarinetist, Musician First Class Ben Redwine on Adventures on a Saturday Afternoon by Maurice Saylor; and guitarist, Musician First Class Ben Coker performing Canario from Fantasia Para Un Gentilhombre by Joaquin Rodrigo.

This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required.
