Loyola Sellinger School's BB&T Lecture

Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management will host the BB&T Lecture Series with speaker John A. Allison, president and CEO of the Cato Institute, a public policy research organization in Washington, D.C. Allison will speak about his book “The Financial Crisis and the Free Market Cure.”

Prior to joining the Cato Institute, Allison was chairman and CEO of BB&T Corp., the 10th largest financial services holding company headquartered in the United States. During his tenure as CEO from 1989 to 2008, BB&T grew from $4.5 billion to $152 billion in assets. Among his honors, Allison was recognized by the Harvard Business Review as one of the top 100 most successful CEOs in the world over the last decade.

“The Financial Crisis and the Free Market” will be distributed to the first 200 attendees of the lecture. Afterward, Allison will sign copies of his book followed by a reception.
