Loyola Sellinger School's Frank J. DeFrancis Lecture
Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management will host the Frank J. DeFrancis Lecture presented by M&T Bank and featuring M&T Bank Chairman and CEO Robert G. Wilmers. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Wilmers has led M&T Bank since 1983, when the company’s assets totaled $2 billion. Today, M&T Bank’s assets exceed $81 billion. Wilmers received the 2005 American Banker Lifetime Achievement Award and was named Banker of the Year by American Banker in 2011. He serves on the board of directors of the Business Council of New York State Inc. Wilmers graduated from Harvard College and attended Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
The DeFrancis Lecture brings to the Loyola campus business leaders who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and interest the academic, business and civic communities. As part of the event, Loyola will name Paul Tallon, associate professor of information systems and operations management, as DeFrancis Faculty Scholar. The lecture and scholar are named in memory of Frank J. DeFrancis, former member of Loyola’s board of trustees.
