Earlier this week, Pope Francis called on Catholics and people throughout the world to observe a day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria on Saturday, September 7. Archbishop William E. Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore, has asked that all Catholic churches be open on Saturday from 1-6 p.m. so people can pray in solidarity with the Pope, who will be leading a prayer vigil in Rome at the same time. He also invites Catholics and all people of good will to join him for Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. a the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. More information can be found at www.archbalt.org.
