Toast to The League at The League for People with Disabilities

The League for People with Disabilities, one of the region’s leading non-profits, will pay tribute to Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake during its annual fundraiser, “Toast to the League” on Saturday, April 16, 2011. This year’s event will also honor Ken Capone, Public Policy Coordinator at People on the Go of Maryland, as Advocate of the Year; Merritt Properties as Corporate Advocate, and Wendy L. Shiff, League Board Member and partner in the trial firm of Salsbury, Clements, Bekman, Marder & Adkins, LLC, as the Special Honoree.

The “Toast” event will benefit The League’s programs for more than 2,000 children and adults with disabilities in Maryland. The event will feature gourmet food and live entertainment by the Cold Spring Jazz Quartet as well as a silent auction. Tickets to the event are $150 and must be purchased in advance. For more information or tickets, call 410-323-0500, ext. 311 or visit the League online at www.leagueforpeople.org.
