Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies Elects New Board Members
The Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies (ICJS) has elected five new members to its Board of Directors, announced Thomas Brown, President of the Board.
The new members to the ICJS Board are:
Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg of Baltimore is the Rabbi of Beth Am Synagogue. Rabbi Burg is also the founder of the New Jewish Neighborhood Project and a regular columnist for the Baltimore Jewish Times.

WM. Randall Cone of Washington, D.C. currently serves as Senior Vice President of The Cone Group, UBS Financial Services, Inc.
Jacob P. Hodes of Baltimore is the Co-Head of Private Equity at Brown Advisory.

The Reverend Robert F. Leavitt of Parkton is Professor of Systematic Theology and holds the France Merrick University Chair of Fundamental Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore. Rev. Leavitt also served as president-rector of St. Mary’s from 1980 to 2007.
The Honorable Kathleen Kennedy Townsend of Baltimore is Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and is a contributing writer to The Recovering Politician. Townsend served as Lieutenant Governor of the State of Maryland from 1995 to 2003.
"We look forward to the diversity and knowledge our five new board members will bring to ICJS,” says ICJS Executive Director Dr. Christopher Leighton. “Through their unique backgrounds and perspectives, each will help us and support our goal to foster religious tolerance and interfaith understanding throughout the Baltimore community."
About the Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies
The ICJS is an educational non-profit that engages in the exploration of religious pluralism, examines the intersections of faith traditions and advances interreligious understanding through dialogue and scholarship. Founded by Baltimore corporate leaders over 25 years ago and based in Towson, MD, the ICJS offers programs to clergy, lay leaders and the general public. Each year, hundreds of individuals participate in ICJS seminars, study sessions and intensive courses. Though concentrated in central Maryland, ICJS programming is branching into the D.C. suburbs and has gained a significant presence in Atlanta, GA.
