Cool Jazz in the Waverly Air

Waverly Jazz Festival a crowd pleaser

Waverly Main Street hosted a Fall Jazz Festival on Saturday, October 13 from

3:00pm- 8:00pm along 32nd Street between Greenmount Avenue and Barclay Street.

Sponsored by WEAA 88.9 and The Peabody Heights Brewery, the Waverly Jazz Festival featured local jazz artist SPICE, Bob Butta with the Robert Shahid Quartet, a community hour with neighborhood talent and the St. Paul Boys School Jazz Ensemble.

Locals vendors were on hand with food and novelty items. The post-Baltimore Marathon event drew folks from all directions. Many danced to the beat or sat on the curb keeping time with their feet.

The autumn afternoon was splendidly crisp, sunny and mellow. See shots of artists on stage and laid back listeners.

Yes, I like it too so far. I especially like that my blog entries will be posted immediatelyRead More (although I haven't tried yet) and that they took the photo of my mug down. I hated having my picture splattered all over the paper.
