Merryman Lane and School 115 historic marker and green space dedication

When Irish eyes are smiling,

Sure, ‘tis like the morn in Spring

It was like that on Merryman Lane on Saturday March 17, 2012 where sixty people celebrated the unveiling of a new historic marker.

And it was a homecoming for some former students  from School #31.

Graduates of that school shared fond proud memories of life in their part of Waverly many years ago while everyone cheered the news that the lot they were on would soon become a living green outdoor classroom with sunflowers if not shamrocks and four-leaf clovers.

See images of the plaque which tells the story of the lane and school and see the smiling eyes of those folks gathered there on St. Patrick's Day.

The correct # for the school was 115 - though many students also called it School # 113 Annex.

Very nice article, I'm sorry that I was not able to attend the event. Thanks to all that cordinated the event and to honor those students that attended School #113.
