Chimes Withdraws Solar Panel Proposal

The organization wanted to build a 35,000 square foot solar panel array.

Chimes Maryland is no longer interested in pursuing a solar panel array on its property in Mount Washington.

The organization told the community it no longer intends to build a 35,000 square foot ground mounted solar array due to community concerns about loss of green space and aesthetics, according to an article in the Mount Washington Improvement Association’s newsletter.

The proposal, which Chimes brought to the neighborhood in December, needed community approval because of restrictive covenant on the Thornbury Road property.
