Two Cedonia men have been charged in connection with a shooting in Overlea last week that resulted in a 2-year-old being hit in the face with shrapnel, police said.

Charles Dante Patterson, 29, of the 5000 block of Goodnow Road, and Kenneth Alexander Brooks II, 26, of the 5600 block of Leiden Road, were charged with first-degree attempted murder, police said, and are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The charges were connected to a March 3 incident in Overlea, in which a 40-year-old woman, 19-year-old man, 17-year-old woman and 2-year-old girl were in a Dodge minivan stopped at a traffic light on Kenwood Avenue at Lillian Holt Drive when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up next to them and fired several shots into the minivan, police said.

According to investigators, Patterson and Brooks were targeting the 19-year-old man because of testimony he gave against their brother, who is currently in jail, in a street robbery case.

Nobody was shot in the minivan but the 2-year-old was hit in the face by shrapnel, police said. She was treated at the hospital and has since been released, police said.

So glad these losers were caught. Two brothers try to kill someone because he testified against their brother?! It's disgusting. This is why criminal activity continues in West Baltimore and now it's trickling East. What a proud mother they must have. I hope they all rot in jail for the rest of their lives.

It's not trickling east....it's here. Most of Baltimore County, with the exception of the most affluent neighborhoods, is now just an extension of Baltimore City. A few middle class areas, like Perry Hall, are barely hanging on.....but they'll eventually succumb.

Send these two pieces of trash to Get my and let them stay there for life no trial put them away. The reason trash like this does this there is no fear of a penalty. These two have nothing to add to humanity and need to be removed from society.
