3 Men Accused of Robbing 24 Area Convenience Stores

The trio allegedly held up Royal Farms, 7-Eleven and High's stores in the city and the county.

(UPDATED, 1:14 p.m.)—Three men have been arrested and charged with robbing 24 convenience stores in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

The men were arrested following a high-speed pursuit into Baltimore County after robbing two convenience stores in North Baltimore. They were taken into custody in a parking garage at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson.

"There is no doubt that these three men would have continued victimizing businesses and store employees if our robbery detectives in the County and the City had not used solid police work to put the pieces together, and then relentlessly pursued this case," Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson said in the news release.

Omar Hance, a 31-year-old resident of Better Waverly, and Darrell Blackwell, a 26-year-old Columbia resident, face 11 counts including armed robbery and first degree assault. Willie Vinson, a 24-year-old Cherry Hill resident, faces 12 counts including armed robbery and first-degree assault.

The socialists in the CPC say "We cannot afford to make deeper cuts to vital investments and to lifelines for many working families, but the “sequester” enacted under the Budget Control Act would do just that. The Balancing Act would repeal the sequester, which would save over 600,000 jobs in 2013 alone. Instead, it achieves the same long-term deficit reduction by closing tax loopholes and by asking the wealthiest among us to contribute a little more. " Funny that they are complaining about the plans they VOTED FOR! And want so desperately are trying to pin on the GOP. In the Senate, 6 Democrats and 19 Republicans voted against it. In the House, 174 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted for it, while 66 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted against it. Obama signed it since it was his idea. Now his people are whining about it.

Steve says "Elijah Cummings district is more rural than it is urban." Eggs come in a dozen or half a dozen or eight sometimes.
Sanchez February 15, 2013 at 10:31 PM
Steve says "According to the deadbeat Allen West and even at that he recanted. Try again JoeBlob......" What are you talking about? Recanted what? The price of eggs or the socialist Cummings district?

Don't 7-11 use Oscar Mayer dogs? They aren't that bad. That may be better than prison food. As if they will eat much of that.
Sanchez February 15, 2013 at 10:37 PM
I posted that here many times. Use a firearm in the commission of a crime, 20 years no good time credits, no parole and consecutively to any other sentence. DISCHARGE a firearm in the commission of a crime, 30 years no good time credits, no parole and consecutively to any other sentence. This would not affect one law abiding citizen. NOT ONE! It will only affect someone who has evil in their hearts and someone who would use a firearm in the commission of ANOTHER crime as a tool and should at least add as a significant extra sentence as so called "hate crimes" call for. We treat thought, in the form of hate crimes, worse than we treat criminals, who use a firearm, in the commission of another crime.

Hopefully they will not be allowed to plead guity to just one robbery and be charged with all of them. Then hang them high, stone them ,whatever it takes to make sure they don't do this again. Just as they do in other counties that do not tolerate this crap.
dan ricci February 15, 2013 at 11:54 PM
LOL, solid police work? It took 24 robberies before they caught them, LOL
Ryan February 16, 2013 at 12:38 AM
I agree with Big T. Our judicial system is too soft on criminals like these. I say hang 'em so as to send a message to every soon to be criminal. I'm tired of paying for free housing of these scum of the earth!

You know they will be just let right back out...a jury in this city will turn them right back in the street because some factions of this city just want to be obstructionists because of their own deeply held beliefs that the police and the state represent something that is designed to oppress them (the same reason that even though we have so many terrible crimes in Baltimore the States Attorney's office does not pursue the death penalty, since the SA believes they will never be able to get a Death Penalty conviction by a jury in this city). Hats off the the police that got these scum bags but unfortunately they will be back on the street before too long. The best thing that can be done is for the convenience store guys to get guns for themselves and shoot to kill.
Baltimore Matt February 16, 2013 at 03:38 AM
BTW... you know that the State Attorney is either going to drop or a jury is going to find them "not guilty" of the most serious charges...I will be utterly surprised if they actually do more than 18 months...
Sanchez February 16, 2013 at 02:31 PM
So Steve, apparently with your unexplained comment of West, your entire purpose was to exclaim your open unhidden racism and wanted to slur the man with no basis or explanation. Just plain hate speech you use so often. Disgusting that you have no compunctions in showing your open racism.
Sanchez February 16, 2013 at 02:44 PM
Omar Hance, 22 line items on the record, on 12-20-2003 he was sentenced to 10 years for a violation of probation. The sentence was to start on 8-26-2004. After his long long record why was he allowed to make more citizens victims?
Jackie February 16, 2013 at 06:34 PM
I think the city may well reduce the charges, however, I don't believe Baltimore County will be so lenient.
John February 16, 2013 at 06:47 PM
Vote the politicians out? They have been in office for a lifetime or more. We call for them to be voted out every 4 years but the voters do the same thing, staying within party lines. Hence, we have the same fools electing the same fools election after election and then spending 4 years screaming "vote them out". But when 2016 roles around (and all the elections in between) the same people will be elected to do the same NOTHING they've done for the last 40 years.
james smith February 16, 2013 at 08:06 PM
The crooked mayor and city council of Baltimore City will give them counseling and say, we do this to the taxpayers every day, but we don't get caught.
james smith February 16, 2013 at 08:07 PM
Yes, it is a job well done, but it is too bad they didn't catch them in the act and gun them down to save the taxpayers a lot of money.
james smith February 16, 2013 at 08:08 PM
Probably a week or two.
james smith February 16, 2013 at 08:09 PM
Welcome to the republican party.
james smith February 16, 2013 at 08:11 PM
No, the judges are friends of politicians and want to keep their jobs as long as possible.
Steve February 16, 2013 at 08:13 PM
No JoeBlob Allen West was making 6 figures a year and his wife worked fulltime and they still managed to get their house foreclosed upon. Deadbeats.

these guys were on a roll, took the Police long enough
theresa bolyard newton February 17, 2013 at 08:31 AM
About time the police did their jobs!
Dennis Gilpin February 17, 2013 at 04:33 PM
These criminals had lots of experience in knowing to evade the law.The were very careful to have a plan in effect to "disappear" right after the robberies.By the time the police respond they may be miles away.Certainly no beginners.Hard to catch when there are few leads. Usually simple mistakes lead to them being caught.Regardless of the time it took to apprehend them it was accomplished.Investigations take time so the rights of the people are not violated and gather solid evidence to get a conviction. Now it is up to the justice system to give the appropriate sentence. Whether they are allowed to plea out on some of the charges is up to the courts. The police did a good job and were careful to do it right,
satch February 18, 2013 at 12:25 AM
why are the jails filled in conservative states can't the cons stop the crooks in ga,ms,mo,in?
satch February 18, 2013 at 12:37 AM
baltimore matt the cops in b-more bring that that crap on themselves sometimes by being lazy or racists .my ex- wife got her car repossessed she told them i stole it these sorry m effers came on the ramp at bwi where i was working as a aircraft mechanic for TWA and arrested me in front of my co-workers.BPD already had the repossession on file.female cop told redneck desk Sgt. the car was repossessed that lazy racist m effer kept me locked up the whole weekend.
Tim February 18, 2013 at 06:15 PM
plenty of crooks in that party, too.
Tim February 18, 2013 at 06:20 PM
Keep it classy. Nice racism, like this guy http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57569846/exec-loses-job-after-allegedly-slapping-toddler-on-plane/
Colin February 19, 2013 at 01:55 AM
That was wrong because the baby is just black. He hasn't done anything that would earn him that label. Robbing at gunpoint is something that niggers do. That term means that they are ignorant blights on society with no redeeming value. If you want to call it racism, that's up to you. I call it being sick and tired of the way these pieces of human waste are allowed to cause problems and prey on decent and productive members of society because they feel entitled to whatever they want. The sooner this state allows citizens to carry concealed weapons, the sooner scumbags like this will be forced to think twice about robbing someone. Nothing stops lazy worthless street trash from crime like shooting a few of them in the act. The more they kill each other, the better.
Loomis February 19, 2013 at 08:22 AM
this is pretty sick...i feel like I am living in a third world country! These guys better be locked up for life...I hope that they dont get a plea deal with 10 months probation! now we know why people buy guns and blow these criminals away...What is really sad is that these scum put our lives in danger (if we run into them while they are robbing they might kill us!)-- and they get probation! I work at night from my home near lutherville elementary off of york rd and this guy on sat night was trying to kick down my basement window as i was typing! The cops told me that if they caught him they could not charge him for more than destruction of property! Next time i will wait till he comes in and teach him what the 2nd amendment means...people take justice into their own hands because of this crappy criminal justice system.
