86-Year-Old Man Killed in Senior Apartments

Baltimore police have identified the man as Earnest Curtis.

Baltimore police are investigating the murder of an 86-year-old man found dead in an apartment building for senior citizens in Levindale.

Police have identified the man as Earnest Curtis.

Det. Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, said officers arrived at the high-rise apartment building, 2500 W. Belvedere Ave., Thursday and found Curtis in his apartment.

There was trauma to the man’s body, and he was pronounced dead at 10:02 a.m., his death was determined to be a homicide, Silbert said.  

Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident.
