Baltimore Police Believe Rapist in Custody

A 29-year-old woman was raped last week while her children slept in her home.

Maj. Sabrina Tapp-Harper said police believe they have the man responsible for a last week in the 3700 block of Greenmount Avenue in custody.

“We do believe the individual responsible for this is in police custody but we are waiting for DNA to come back,” said.

Tapp-Harper said the man is in custody on unrelated charges.

A woman woke up at 4 a.m. on Oct. 10 to find a man on top of her while her children slept in a nearby room. The children were not harmed in the incident, according to police.
