Baltimore Police Expect Peaceful Protest

Baltimore City police are prepared to ensure a peaceful protest at Tuesday's scheduled rally.

Baltimore City police expect the Occupy Baltimore rally downtown scheduled for noon Tuesday to be a peaceful protest, but are taking precautions to prevent any disruptions.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the department has enough officers to call in to keep an eye on the rally. He said the major concern is making sure the rally stays safe.

He said the police were monitoring social media and referred questions regarding the protesters' need for a permit to the City Solicitor's office.
