CRIME: Altercation Results in Hammer and Stab Wounds

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Hampden

Elm Avenue, 3200 block, 2:45 a.m., June 12. Police responded to a reported altercation and found three injured men. One of the men was apparently struck in the head with a hammer, another man suffered multiple stab wounds and a third man suffered “unknown injuries,” according to the police report. The nature of the fight and what exactly occurred is still under investigation.

West 41st Street, 1000 block, 12:35 a.m., June 17. A suspect entered the Royal Farms store armed with a black handgun. “Give me the money. Put the money in the bag,” the suspect said. The store clerk complied and the suspect fled the store with an unknown amount of money.

Druid Hill Park

Mansion House Drive, 1300 block, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., June 12.  A Glock 27 40 caliber handgun, two magazines and 18 bullets as well as a wallet with a Baltimore City “retired badge,” a federal “reserve police” badge and an electronic notepad were stolen from a 2007 Toyota pickup truck.

Harwood

Ilchester Avenue, 400 block, 2:40 p.m., June 16.  A victim was walking when a suspect asked if he had any money. The victim replied no, but the suspect pulled out a knife and went through the victim’s pocket. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and punched him. The victim then fled the scene and called the police. The suspect was located and arrested.

Remington

Howard Street, 2800 block, 11:20 p.m., June 15. A victim was at home when a burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear door. The victim heard noises and called police. The suspect had already fled with an Xbox, television and laptop by the time police arrived.
