CRIME: Burglar Uses Store's Torch to Open Safe

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Waverly

Greenmount Avenue, 3400 block, between 6:37 p.m. and 6:16 a.m., May 27. A burglar broke into One Stop Auto Repair by prying open the rear window. The burglar then used a welding torch from the shop to open the company’s safe. The burglar then apparently exited through the same rear window.

West 28th Street, 200 block, 4:52 a.m., May 22. A suspect entered the 7-Eleven and asked for cigarettes. The suspect then pulled out a gun and robbed the store of $150 and ran.

Swan Drive, 3100 block, 6 p.m., May 25. A victim was walking his dog when suspects pulled up in a black Acura and shot him with a paintball gun. A responding officer located the suspects in the park and arrested them.

Charles Village

St. Paul Street, 3100 block, 11:40 p.m., May 25. Three suspects allegedly broke the rear basement window of Real Estate Dimensions with rocks. When they saw a Johns Hopkins University security officer they entered the building through the basement door. A responding officer found the suspects still inside the building and arrested them.
