CRIME: Gas Station Owner Struck by Car, Kicked

Waverly
East 33rd Street, 500 block, 8:46 a.m., July 13. The owner of the gas station was putting trash into a dumpster when a man hit him with a burgundy Toyota. The man then got out of the car and began kicking the storeowner in the head. Witnesses started yelling at the man, who got back in his car and drove off.

Keswick Road, 3300 block, 12:17 p.m., July 14. Suspects approached a woman and tried to snatch her purse. The suspects tried to run away with the purse, but the woman held on and was dragged across the street. Witnesses yelled at the suspects, who ran away without the purse.

East 23rd Street, 200 block, midnight, July 12. The suspect and tow truck driver were discussing a towing complaint when the suspect drove away in the city-owned tow truck. While driving away, the suspect hit the driver. Police responded and arrested the suspect. The tow truck driver declined to be taken to the hospital.
Wyndhurst
North Charles Street, 5100 block, between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., July 15. Someone broke off a bronze lacrosse stick from a statue at Friends School.
