CRIME: Man Charged With Assault for Not Disclosing HIV Status Before Sex

Woodbourne-McCabe

Glenwood Avenue, 600 block, 9 a.m., Aug 15. A man has been charged with aggravated assault after his girlfriend alleged he knowingly had unprotected sex with her despite being aware that he is HIV positive.

Charles Street, 3200 block, 9:20 a.m., Aug. 16.  A man removed the windowpane on the rear door to gain entry to the home. The man then entered a bedroom. A resident woke up and asked what the man was doing in the house. He replied, “I’m a contractor,” and fled the house without taking any property.

East 39th Street, 500 block, Aug. 19. Two men were walking when they were approached by another man who asked for a light. They joked that it might cost 25 cents when the man pulled out a handgun and demanded their money. The two men gave up two cell phones and $13 and the robber fled with the property.
