Crime: Man Robbed of Bible in Wyman Park

Here's a roundup of part one crimes from the Northern District.

All descriptions of crimes come from the Northern District's part one crime reports.

Wyman Park

Wyman Parkway, 2800 block, 1:28 a.m. April 24. The victim was walking when a man approached and asked where the party was. The victim kept walking when a second man approached, pulled out a handgun and said, “Give me your stuff.” The robbers made off with property including a laptop, credit cards and a bible.

Charles Village

St. Paul Street, 2700 block, 4:20 a.m. April 25. The victim was waiting for a bus and was approached by two robbers. One pulled out a handgun and said, “Yo, give me everything.”  The victim handed over his wallet and the robbers fled the scene.

Mid-Govans

East Belvedere Avenue, 700 block, 3:10 p.m. April 27. A burglar broke into a home and ransacked it and ran out the front door. As the suspected fled the home, he ran into a person interested in buying the house and assaulted her. 

Hampden

Elm Avenue, 3500 block, 7:15 p.m. April 29. A man approached the victim asking for a cigarette. As the victim gave the man a cigarette, the suspect pulled out a sharp object and placed it to the victim's stomach. The robber told the victim to give up his wallet, but the victim replied he didn’t have one. The victim was then forced to empty his pockets and the robber made off with a credit card and $220 in cash.
