CRIME: Robber Uses Craigslist to Lure Victim

Lake Walker

East Lake Avenue, 1000 block, 4:45 p.m., June 8. A man placed an ad on Craigslist to purchase iPhones. The suspect contacted the man and told him he had six iPhones to sell. When the two met, the suspect pulled out a silver handgun and said: “Put your head down. Don’t say anything. Put the wallet and money into the bag and give me your car keys.” The man did what he was told and the suspect fled on foot.

Bellona Avenue, 6200 block, 9:45 a.m., June 9. A man entered Charlesmead Pharmacy, brandished a silver handgun and told store employees to lay on the floor. The man then took cash from an open safe, and ordered employees to fill a blue tote bag with specific medications. The suspect then fled the store and got into a dark vehicle and drove away from the area.

Guilford Avenue, 3000 block, 7:45 a.m., June 8. A woman was home when she heard a noise from the lower level of her house. When she went to investigate she found a burglar had forced open a rear window and had stolen some liquor.  Police responded and found the suspect in the area with the liquor.

West 28th Street, 200 block, 9:50 p.m., June 8. A  man approached a woman from behind and asked, “Is your foot OK?” The man then grabbed the woman’s purse, but she struggled to hold onto it. He then snatched a clear wallet from the purse and ran off.

Hampden

West 41st Street, 100 block, 2:55 p.m. June 6. A man entered the Royal Farms Store, walked behind the counter, picked up a case with 30 cartons of cigarettes and ran out of the store. An employee chased him but was punched by the suspect. Police then arrived and arrested the suspect.    

Radnor-Winston

York Road, 5200 block, 12:15 p.m., June 5. A woman was arguing with a man at a bus stop when the man hit her with his cane. The woman suffered a cut above her right eye.
