After Wrong Turn, Driver Gets Stuck on the Tracks

According to police, a man drove approximately 250 feet down railroad tracks in Wrightstown before his car got hung up on the rails.

A West Trenton man was literally stopped in his tracks early Saturday morning after taking a wrong turn.

According to Newtown Township police, a 70-year-old West Trenton man was traveling on Swamp Road in Wrightstown Township and mistakenly made a left turn onto the railroad tracks adjacent to the Davis Feed Mill. According to police, the man drove approximately 250 feet down the tracks before his car got hung up on the rails around 12:15 a.m.

Police called a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the tracks. Due to a flat tire, the car was towed from the scene and police transported the driver to a nearby hotel.

At what point did he notice he not of the road? I would hope it was before 250 feet.
