Handgun Stolen from Shot Security Guard

Police confirmed they have arrested a suspect, but have not released details of the arrest.

The suspect responsible for allegedly shooting two security guards at the Oak Hill townhomes Thursday stole the female guard's gun after shooting her in the eye, according to police records.

The Comstat data for the police listed the crime as an armed robbery. According to the short narrative included in the police report, “the suspect approached the victim and partner … when suspect shot her in the face and removed the above property.”

The property listed as being stolen is a Ruger P95 9 millimeter handgun.

The suspect also shot a 38-year-old male security guard in the chest and leg, according to the report.

A spokesman confirmed Monday afternoon that a suspect in the shootings had been arrested, but police have not said who the suspect is.

The female security guard has been released from the hospital.

The male security guard remains at Johns Hopkins Hospital in serious condition.
