Homicides on Pace for 4-Year Low
The number of homicides in the Baltimore City Police Department's Northern District is on pace to be the lowest in the last four years.
With less than two months left in 2011, homicides in North Baltimore are on pace to be the lowest in the last four years.
According to the Baltimore City police, there have been 12 homicides in the Northern District so far in 2011. In 2010, there were 15 homicides in the district.
However, only 33 percent of the 2011 murders are closed, and 40 percent of the homicide cases in the Northern District since 2008 have been solved.
