Man Arrested for Remington Murder

Benny Davis, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail.

Baltimore police have arrested and charged a man for the murder of D’Andre Thomas in Remington.

Benny Davis, 24, is accused of shooting Thomas, Monday morning, in the 2700 block of Fox Street in Remington.

Davis, of the 3500 block of Elmora Avenue, allegedly shot Thomas in the stomach. Thomas was taken to an area hospital where he died from his wounds that afternoon.

Davis was arrested on Tuesday on warrants for first-degree murder and other charges related to the killing, and was denied bail on Thursday.

His next scheduled court date is on April 16, for a preliminary hearing in district court.

Davis is no stranger to the legal system.

According to electronic court records, Davis has faced several charges dating back to 2005 that include assault with a deadly weapon, illegally possessing a handgun and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
