Man Shot Buying Marijuana

It's unclear who fired the shots that wounded the man.

(UPDATED 3:07 p.m.)—A man was reportedly shot in the leg while trying to buy marijuana in Harwood.

According to Baltimore police, at 9 p.m. on March 5, a man was in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. when he approached an unknown man and asked about buying marijuana.

As the unknown man was leaving to get the marijuana the man heard shots fired and started to run.

While the man was running he realized that he had been shot in the leg and took himself to Union Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to a police report.

But police said there were no reports of gunshots in the area that night.

"There were officers in the area and no one heard gun shots," Det. Angela Carter-Watson, a police spokeswoman, said.
