Man Fatally Shot in Robbery on Greenmount Avenue

Baltimore City police said man was shot multiple times.

UPDATE (2:35 p.m., Tuesday)— Freddie Jones Jr., 52, was identified as the man shot and killed at a carryout on Greenmount Avenue Monday.

Jones, of the 900 block of Belgian Avenue, was shot and killed in what police believe was a robbery at Yau Bros Chinese Carryout, located at 2901 Greenmount Ave.  

Police responded to the report of a robbery at about 6:45 p.m. and found a man shot multiple times, Det. Jeremy Silbert said.

 The carryout has been the scene of multiple shootings, including the murder of a 72-year-old security guard last year.
