North Baltimore Communities Plan National Night Out Events

Communities throughout the city will gather to rally against crime in their neighborhoods.

On Aug. 2, several communities in North Baltimore will be hosting National Night Out events.

This will be the 28th year National Night Out has been observed, and events throughout the city are designed to help bring neighborhoods together to push back against crime in their communities.

There will be four separate events that will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will be held within the boarders of the Charles Village Community Benefits District.

Events will be held at 2700 Maryland Ave., at Lorraine Avenue and Barclay Street, Calvert Street Park at 23rd and Calvert streets, and at the Abell Green Space, 300 block of East 32nd Street.

Starting at 7 p.m,. the Better Waverly community will hold an event at 901 Arts Youth Sculpture Garden, 808-814 Homestead St.

The Waverly community will be hosting an event starting at 6 p.m. at the Chestnut Hill Natural Lounge, 601 Chestnut Hill Ave.

Mid-Govans will also be hosting a National Night Out event at 6 p.m. at 5501 Ivanhoe Road.
