North Baltimore Crime: Bank Robber Thanks Teller for Cash

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

West 36th Street, 900 block, 3:58 p.m., Sept. 7.  A bank robber entered the Bank of America and handed the teller a note that read, “Put the money in the bag. Thank You." The suspect then told the teller, “Don’t use a dye back and use all big bills.” The suspect then fled the location.

West 36th Street, 800 block, 7:56 p.m., Sept. 6. A man was cut on the chest with an unknown object. He refused to cooperate with police.

Harwood

Ilchester Avenue, 300 block, 2:46 a.m., Sept. 4. Robbers approached two women from behind and one said, “Do not scream. Just hand me the money.” They gave the robbers a purse and $20.

Greenmount Avenue, 2800 block, 11:30 p.m., Sept. 5. A robber approached a man from behind, passed him and then turned around holding a silver handgun. The robber told the man, “Kick that [expletive] out. You know what it is. Give me all your [expletive].” The man then handed over his cell phone and $6.    

Pen Lucy

Springfield Avenue, 700 block, 6:35 p.m., Sept. 6. A man was in the basement of his home playing a video game. When he came upstairs he found a suspect with a black handgun in the house. The suspect forced the man into the living room where they began to struggle.  The gun was fired three times and hit the man in the shoulder. After the shots were fired two more suspects came downstairs and all of them fled the house.

Lake Evesham

York Road, 6000 block, 11:59 p.m., Sept. 6. A man was approached by a suspect and asked if he had change. The man said no, and the suspect punched him in the face. The man started to fight back and two more suspects arrived and began beating the man. The suspects then threw the man to the ground and stole his wallet and iPhone.

Waverly

East 33rd Street, 600 block, 10:19 a.m., Sept. 8.  A suspect tried to take a shopping cart from Giant by putting it in the back of a truck. The suspect was arrested and the cart was recovered.
