North Baltimore Crime: Bat Wielding Man Steals Cell Phone

East 29th Street, 200 block, 1:45 p.m., Nov. 28.  A woman was driving a vehicle when a red Cadillac STS forced her to stop. A man got out of the car with a metal baseball bat and struck her vehicle and demanded her phone. She gave the man the phone and he got back in his car and drove away.

East 30th Street, unit block, 8:30 p.m., Nov. 28. A woman was walking and  heard footsteps running behind her. When she tried to turn around, a robber grabbed her by the face and turned her head away and said “Give me your wallet or my friend over there will shoot you.”

North Howard Street, 2800 block, 12:30 a.m., Nov. 27. A man was walking home when he was approached by three men and was told to go into an alley. One of the robbers pointed a handgun and said, “Give me everything you got.” The man complied and the three men ran away, heading south on Howard Street.

Sisson Street, 2700 block, 9 p.m., Nov. 29. Two robbers, one holding a black handgun, entered the Subway and demanded the cashier open the register. The cashier called for a manager, who opened the register. The robbers took an unknown amount of cash and fled.

West 31st Street, 300 block, 7:45 p.m., Nov. 27. A man was loading his vehicle when robbers shoved him into the cargo area of his vehicle. One of the robbers said, “Where’s your money.” They then took the man’s cell phone and wallet before telling him “Happy holidays.”

West 28th Street, 200 block, 8:18 p.m., Dec. 1. A robber walked into the 7-Eleven, approached the cash register then pulled out a black handgun and demanded an employee open the register. The robber took cash from the register and more than 30 packs of cigarettes.

Lake Walker

York Road, 6300 block, 11:15 a.m., on Dec. 1. A man shoplifted cough syrup and eye care items from Walgreens. When employees confronted him, he pulled out a knife and threatened them with it.  

Abell

East 30th Street, 400 block, 4:30 p.m., Dec. 2. A would-be robber entered the Pratt Tag and Title with a black handgun and demanded money. However, when the robber attempted to tie up employees, they disarmed the robber and a responding officer made an arrest.
