North Baltimore Crime: Body Wash Thief Fails to Make Clean Getaway

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Auto: 400 block of E. 31st Street, between 6:30 and 10:42 p.m., May 15. A 2001 Chevy Malibu was stolen.

Burglary Residential: 800 block of Exeter Hall Avenue, between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., May 14. A burglar stole a 32-inch Vizio television.

Larceny from Auto: 900 block of E. 30th Street, between 5:30 p.m., May 12 and 5:30 a.m., May 13. iPhones, a MacBook and a PlayStation were stolen from a 2010 Dodge Caliber.

Burglary Residential: 700 block of Belle Terre Avenue, between 8 a.m. and noon, May 15. A PlayStation, games and various clothing were stolen from a home. 

Larceny Shoplifting: 601 Homestead St., 6:52 p.m., May 14. A shoplifter stole three bottles of detergent from ACE Hardware.

Charles Village

Burglary Residential: 3000 block of Guilford Avenue, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., May 13. A MacBook Pro and $20 in coins were stolen from a house.

Larceny Other: 2500 block of Charles Street, 3:15 p.m., May 14. A MacBook was stolen. 

Larceny from Auto: 2800 block of Lovegrove Street, between 12:01 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., May 13. A brown wallet and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a Subaru Forrester.

Hampden

Larceny Shoplifting: 1030 W. 41st St., 8 p.m., May 12. A shoplifter stole several cans of baby formula from Rite Aid.

Larceny Shoplifting: 1030 W. 41st St., 9:10 p.m., May 12. A shoplifter was arrested after trying to steal Norelco trimmers and body wash from Rite Aid.

Homeland

Larceny from Auto: 400 block of Lyman Avenue, 8 p.m., May 14.  Various ID and credit cards were stolen from a 2010 Toyota Tundra.

Medfield

Burglary Commercial: 1600 block of W. 41st Street,, between 6 p.m., May 13 and 8 a.m., May 14.  A chainsaw and two leaf blowers were stolen.

Mid-Govans

Burglary Residential: 5400 block of Ready Avenue, between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., May 15. Various electronics and shoes worth about $4,170 were stolen form a home.

Mt. Washington

Stolen Auto: 2000 block of Greenberry Road, between 6 p.m., May 13 and 7:30 a.m., May 14. A black 2008 Acura MDX was stolen. 

Oakenshawe

Larceny Other: 400 block of E. 33rd Street, 8:30 a.m., May 15. A thief stole a phone from a man walking in the block.

Waverly

Larceny Other: 600 block of E. 37th Street, between 8:50 a.m. and 3 p.m., May 13. A laptop was stolen from the home. The owner’s roommate was home at the time it was stolen but denies knowing where it is.

Larceny Other: 600 block of E. 37th Street, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., May 13. A roommate took a MacBook as collateral for rent money, but the property was returned and charges were not filed. 

Wilson Park

Burglary Residential: 500 block of Oakland Avenue, between 5 p.m., May 13 and 8:30 a.m., May 14. A burglar stole a dishwasher; stove; drywall mix; 20 cases of tile; and a washing machine from a home.

Woodberry

Burglary Residential: 2000 block of Rockrose Avenue, 5:47 p.m., May 12. A robber entered the residence through an unlocked rear door and stole and iPad and computer.

Woodbourne-McCabe

Burglary Residential: 500 block of Sheridan Avenue, between 7:40 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., May 13. Two 40-inch televisions were stolen.  

Wyndhurst

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of Amberly Way, between 3 and 4:15 p.m., May 14. A handbag was stolen from a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta.
