North Baltimore Crime: Burglars Targeting Game Consoles

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary Residential: 3000 block of Frisby Street, between 7 a.m., Dec. 2 and 7 p.m., Dec. 3. A burglar broke into a vacant home through the front door and ran away without taking anything.

Burglary Residential: 3000 block of Frisby Street, between 1:30 and 10 p.m., Dec. 3. A burglar entered the house through the basement door and stole a 32-inch Pro View television, a 22-inch Vizio television and a 60-inch Toshiba television.

Charles Village

Larceny Other: 3400 block of Charles Street, between 5:20 and 5:45 p.m., Dec. 6. Various credit cards were stolen from a woman’s purse that was left unsecured in her office.

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 300 block of E. 28th Street, between 9 and 10 a.m., Dec. 5. A burglary forced open a rear door and stole a PlayStation 3 and five games.

Hampden

Larceny from Auto: 1300 block of Union Avenue, between 10 p.m., Dec. 5 and 10 a.m., Dec. 6. An iPod and a Tom Tom GPS were stolen from a 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Larceny from Auto: 3900 block of Edgehill Avenue, between 9 p.m., Dec. 5 and 9 a.m., Dec. 6. A wallet and debit card was stolen from a 2005 Cadillac Escalade. 

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Falls Road, between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m., Dec. 5. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a white 2012 Volkswagen Golf.

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Falls Road, between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m., Dec. 5. An iPod was stolen from a red 2007 Acura. 

Larceny from Auto: 3300 block of Hickory Avenue, 2 a.m., Dec. 6.  About $700 in gifts we’re stolen from a 2005 Kia Spectra. 

Hoes Heights

Larceny Shoplifting: 1000 block of W. 41st Street, 7:30 p.m., Dec. 2. A shoplifter stole various razors, two Gillette deodorants and three gift boxes before running out of the CVS.   

Larceny from Auto: 1100 block of W. 41st Street, between 2 p.m., Dec. 4, and 4 p.m., Dec. 5. A navigation system/DVD player; a 27-inch television; a 20-inch Vizio television; speakers; generator; amplifier; Xbox 360; PlayStation 3 were stolen from a black 2002 GMC van.  

Lake Walker

Stolen Auto: 6100 block of Northwood Drive, between 10:30 p.m., Dec. 5 and 5 a.m., Dec. 6. A white 2003 Mercury Mountaineer was stolen.

Medfield

Larceny Other: 4300 block of Falls Road, between 10:30 and 10:40 p.m., Dec. 3. A thief tried to take a sliding screen door from the rear of the property but was spotted by the owner.

Mount Washington

Larceny Other: 2000 block of Sulgrave Avenue, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Dec. 7.  A 6-foot radiator and eight 12-foot steel pipes were stolen from a side yard.

North Roland Park/Poplar Hill

Larceny from Auto: 6000 block Roland Avenue, 10:30 p.m., Dec. 3. A Garmin GPS and prescription pad were stolen from a 2005 Ford Mustang.

Pen Lucy

Burglary Residential: 4200 block of York Road, 9:30 p.m., Dec. 3. A burglar entered through a rear window and stole a 42-inch television, a case of alcohol and a Sony DVD player.

Burglary Residential: 500 block of E. 41st Street, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Dec. 6. A burglar broke into a home through the basement door and stole a PlayStation 3, iPad, iPhone, Dell laptop and a backpack.

Remington

Larceny from Auto: 2600 block of Huntingdon Avenue, 3 p.m., Dec. 3. Two purses and $60 were stolen from a Blue KIA Sedona.

Larceny from Auto: 2700 block of Hampden Avenue, between 1 and 7:30 a.m., Dec. 5. An iPod, purse and ATM card were stolen from an unlocked 1996 Honda.

Waverly

Larceny Other: 700 block of McKewin Avenue, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Dec. 3. A yellow Poulan Pro lawn mower was stolen from the front yard.

Burglary Residential: 600 block of E. 35th Street, between 8:25 a.m. and 3:42 p.m., Dec. 5. A burglar forced open a rear window and stole an Xbox, PlayStation 3, a tablet and three watches.

Larceny from Auto: 700 block of Melville Avenue, between 9 p.m., Dec. 6 and 9 a.m., Dec. 7. A Nikon 14.2 megapixel camera was stolen from a black 2012 Lexus ES300.

Winston-Govans

Stolen Auto: 500 block Chateau Avenue, between noon and 3 p.m., Dec. 3. The owner’s cousin took the vehicle without permission and was arrested in the Western District before the owner reported it missing. The car was recovered in the Mondawmin Mall parking lot.

York-Homeland

Larceny Shoplifting: 5200 block of York Road, 6:48 p.m., Dec.2.  A shoplifter attempted to steal a 50-ounce bottle of laundry detergent, but was arrested.
