North Baltimore Crime: Burglars Targeting Garages and Sheds

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny from Auto: 3100 block of Brentwood Avenue, between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m., Aug. 10. An iPhone, iPod and Garmin GPS were stolen from a 2010 Honda with West Virginia tags.

Stolen Auto: 2500 block of Maryland Avenue, between midnight and 7 a.m., Aug. 6. A red and gray 2011 Longbo scooter was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 2900 block of North Calvert Street, 10:30 p.m., Aug. 5. The window of a 1997 Saturn was broken and a cell phone was stolen.

Burglary Residential: 200 block of East 31st Street, between 6:05 a.m. and 8 p.m., Aug. 8. A burglar entered the home through the front window and stole $500.

Larceny from Auto: 3400 block of St. Paul Street, between 6:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., Aug. 8. The window of a 1999 gray Dodge Ram was broken and an iPod Touch and a 1000-watt amplifier were stolen.  

Burglary Garage: 2900 block of North Calvert Street, between 8 p.m., Aug. 9 and 10 a.m., Aug. 10. A 1986 Vespa scooter and a folding bike were stolen after a burglar kicked in the door of a garage.

Burglary Commercial: 2500 block of North Charles Street, between 1 a.m., Aug. 11 and 9:30 a.m., Aug. 12. The front window of the Baltimore Healthy Start Inc.’s office was broken and a television and a digital converter box were stolen.

Cross Keys

Burglary Shed: 1400 block of West Cold Spring Lane, between 6 p.m., Aug. 6 and 12:01 a.m., Aug 7. Various gardening tools were stolen after a lock was removed from the shed.

Guilford

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of Chancery Road, 1027 a.m., Aug. 7.  An Echo edge cutter and an Echo edge trimmer were stolen from a brown 1986 truck.

Hampden

Burglary Shed: 1300 block of West 37th Street, between 9 p.n., Aug. 6 and 6:30 p.m., Aug. 7. The burglar cut the lock on the shed and stole a Schwinn bike.

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Elm Avenue, between 8 p.m., Aug. 11 and 4 p.m., Aug. 12. The zipper top of a 2008 Jeep was removed and a camera lens, GPS and saw were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 1300 block of Union Avenue, between 10 p.m., Aug. 11 and 10:30 a.m., Aug. 12. The window of a 2000 Jeep was busted with a rock and a Macbook and GPS were stolen.  

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 400-block East Lorraine Avenue, between 10 p.m., Aug. 7 and 2:15 p.m., Aug. 9. A burglar kicked in the rear door and moved a television but ran out without taking any property.

Stolen Auto: 2600 block of Barclay Street, between 10 p.m., Aug. 9 and 3 a.m., Aug. 10. A silver 2006 Subaru Prism with Pennsylvania tags was stolen.

Homeland

Burglary Garage: 5100 block of Spring Lake Way, at 3:45 p.m., Aug. 8. A burglar entered an unlocked garage and stole a $500 set of Bose speakers.

Stolen Auto: 200 block of Witherspoon Road, between 2:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., Aug. 10. A blue 2007 Volvo with Maryland tags was stolen.

Keswick

Larceny from Auto: 4400 block of Keswick Road, between 10 p.m., Aug. 10 and 11:45 a.m., Aug. 11. A gold watch and camera were stolen from an unlocked Jeep with Massachusetts’s tags.

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of Somerset Road, between 9 p.m., Aug. 10 and 10:20 a.m., Aug 11. The window of a Toyota was broken and a GPS unit was stolen.

Lake Walker

Attempted Stolen Auto: 500 block of Lake Avenue, between 8:20 p.m., Aug. 7 and 11:30 a.m., Aug. 8. The vehicle ignition of a blue 2006 Mazda 3 was damaged.   

Mt. Washington

Burglary Garage: 2400 block of Ken Oak Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., Aug. 9. A burglar removed the lock and stole two bikes.

Larceny from Auto: 6100 block of Maywood Road, between 8:45 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., Aug. 11. A handbag, license, bankcard, voters guide and $63 were stolen from a 1997 Chevy after its windows were left down.  

Burglary Shed: 5700 block of Rockspring Road, between 7 p.m., Aug. 7 and 7:20 p.m., Aug. 10. A burglar forced off the lock from a shed and stole a blower; trimmer, lawnmower, chainsaw and a belt sander were stolen.

Remington

Burglary Residential: 2600 block of Miles Avenue, between 1:30 and 7:09 p.m., Aug. 5. A camcorder, camera, laptop, television and wireless headset were stolen after a burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear window.

Larceny from Auto: 2600 block of Huntingdon Avenue, between 6:30 p.m., Aug. 7 and 10:30 a.m., Aug 8. A handicap placard was stolen from a burgundy 1990 Corolla.

Stolen Auto: 200 block of West 26th Street, between 6:37 p.m., Aug. 6 and 10:53 a.m., Aug. 7. A 1989 Buick Park Avenue was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Remington Avenue, between 8 a.m. and 4:39 p.m., Aug. 10. A bag, watch, iPod, clothing and a green card were stolen from a 2010 Ford after its window was broken out.  

Roland Park

Burglary Residential: 200 block of Ridgewood Road, between 6 and 6:30 p.m., Aug. 7. A burglar entered the home through a basement door and stole a yellow Trek and red Fuji bike.

Burglary Garage: 400 block of Woodlawn Road, 4 p.m., Aug. 7.  The burglar forced in the garage door and stole a silver Trek bike and a red Giant bike.

Larceny from Auto: unit block of Club Road, between 3 and 6 p.m., Aug. 7. A wallet containing a driver’s license, Social Security card, a debit card and $20 in cash were stolen from a black 2000 Chevy.

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of West Cold Spring Lane, between 10:14 and 11:15 a.m., Aug. 10. The window of a 1997 Dodge was broken and an iPod, book bag and personal papers were stolen.

Burglary Shed: 300 block of Woodlawn Road, between 4 p.m., Aug. 7 and 3 p.m., Aug. 8. The burglars removed a lock and stole three bikes.   

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: 3900 block of North Charles Street, between 4 and 8 p.m., Aug. 11. The window of a 2004 Hyundai was broken and a Garmin GPS was stolen. 

Waverly

Stolen Auto: 3400 block of Greenmount Avenue, between 11 a.m., Aug. 7 and 1:30 p.m., Aug. 8. A green 2001 Lexus was stolen.

Woodberry

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Clipper Road, between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., An iPod, suitcase, handbag and a sign were stolen from a 2006 Volvo after the window was busted.

Wyndhurst

Larceny from Auto: 300 block of Wyndhurst Avenue, between 1 and 6 p.m., Aug. 10. The window of a 2005 Jaguar was broke and a purse, credit cards, driver’s license, make up bag, cell phone and $650 was stolen.
