North Baltimore Crime: Eatery's Crab Meat Swiped Christmas Eve

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Abell

Burglary Commercial:  3200 block of Greenmount Avenue, 9:50 p.m., Dec. 25. A burglar broke into a T Mobile store via the roof and stole $8,000 and cellphones.

Belvedere

Larceny from Auto: 500 block of E. Belvedere Avenue, between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m., Dec. 27. A milkshake maker and a grocery bag were stolen from a 2004 Jeep Cherokee. 

Better Waverly

Burglary Commercial: 2600 block of Greenmount Avenue, 11 p.m., Dec. 24. A burglar entered the J and R Market through a rear window and stole $300, Newport Cigarettes and Black and Mild Cigars.

Cedarcroft

Attempted Burglary Residential: 400 block of E. Lake Avenue, 7:30 p.m., Dec. 24. A plastic window from was damaged when a burglar attempted to break into the house.

Charles Village

Recovered Stolen Auto: 2600 block of N. Charles Street, 5:17 p.m., Dec. 24. A white 2008 Freightliner was recovered.

Stolen Auto: 100 block of E. 32nd Street, 11:30 a.m., Dec. 24.  A 2008 Freightliner truck with Fed Ex markings was stolen.  

Larceny Other: 200 block E. 33rd Street, between 8:30 and 9 a.m., Dec. 24. A wallet was stolen from a work desk.

Burglary Commercial: 2500 block of St. Paul Street, between 4 p.m., Dec. 26 and 10 a.m., Dec. 27. A burglar broke the front window of Best Choice Services and stole a telephone.

Hampden

Larceny Other: 900 block of W. 36th Street, between midnight, Dec. 24 and 9:30 a.m., Dec. 28. A MacBook and six Acer computers were stolen.

Aggravated Assault: 1000 block of W. 36th Street, 5:40 p.m., Dec. 27. A man’s ex-girlfriend tried to run him over with his own 2002 Volkswagen Beetle.

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Chestnut Avenue, between 7 and 11 p.m., Dec. 27. The window of a 2006 Nissan Altima was damaged.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Chestnut Avenue, between 67 and 11 p.m., Dec. 27. A window of a 2008 Hyundai was broken and the interior was ransacked.

Larceny from Building: 800 block of W. 36th Street, between 7:30 p.m., Dec. 27 and noon, Dec. 28. The sign outside the Pearl Gallery was stolen.

Homeland

Larceny from Auto: 5200 block of Putney Way, between 11:30 p.m., Dec. 23 and 7 a.m., Dec. 24. $100 worth of gifts was stolen from a silver 2003 Acura MDX.

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of Taplow Road, between 4:30 p.m., Dec. 26 and 8:40 a.m., Dec. 27. The window of a 2006 BMW was broken out and two books, Anthropology plates and serving bowl were stolen.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 200 block of Paddington Road, between 10 p.m., Dec. 26 and 9 a.m., Dec. 27. The window of a 2011 Infiniti was broken and the console opened.  

Burglary Commercial: 5600 block of York Road, 12:28 a.m., Dec. 27. A burglar tried to break into Favorite’s Pub through a backdoor but failed.

Larceny Other: 300 block of Taplow Road, 5:25 a.m., Dec. 27. Copper downspouts were stolen from the outside of the home.

Mid-Govans

Larceny from Auto: 500 block of Benninghaus Road, between 7 p.m., Dec. 26 and 5 a.m., Dec. 27. A gas meter, GPS and Nikon Camera were stolen from a city owned Jeep Liberty.

Mount Washington

Stolen Auto: 2200 block of Sulgrave Avenue, between 3 p.m., Dec. 25 and 3 p.m., Dec. 25. A green 1995 Nissan Sentra was stolen.

Larceny Other: 1600 block of Sulgrave Avenue, between 2:30 and 6:30 p.m., Dec. 27. The thieves entered the store and pretended to shop. When the clerk was distracted they stole her wallet from her purse that was behind the counter.

Radnor-Winston

Larceny Other: 4900 block of York Road, between 3 and 5 p.m., Dec. 27. A woman left her purse at the post office. But when she came back to retrieve it the purse had been stolen and her credit cards used at various locations.

Remington

Larceny Shoplifting: 200 block of W. 29th Street, 11 a.m., Dec. 24. A man stole a case of lump crab meat, valued at $229, from Paper Moon Café after a thief tricked a prep cook into giving it to him.

Richnor Springs

Larceny Other: 4700 block of York Road, 11:05 a.m., Dec. 24. An unattended credit card was stolen from the premises. The card’s owner called police and the thief returned the card while officers were investigating. The thief was subsequently issued a citation. 

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny Other: 3900 block of Cloverhill Road, between 4:22 p.m., Dec. 27 and 6 p.m., Dec. 29. A Fed Ex package containing tickets was stolen from the mail slot or doorway.  

Waverly

Burglary Residential: 500 block of E. 35th Street, between 10:15 a.m. and 3 p.m., Dec. 23. A burglar broke into a home through the kitchen window and stole a 13-inch television, a blue sparkle 8-inch book and a Timberlen book.

Wilson Park

Burglary Residential: 4300 block of York Road, between 5 and 6 p.m., Dec. 25. A burglar entered through a basement window and stole copper piping.

Winston-Govans

Burglary Residential: 4900 block of York Road, between 5 p.m., Dec. 24 and 4 p.m., Dec. 25. A Sanyo 46-inch television, Avex 32-inch television and PlayStation3 were stolen after a burglar broke in through a living room window.

Woodbourne-McCabe 

Larceny Other: 500 block of McCabe Avenue, 3:15 p.m., Dec. 23. A thief reached into a man’s pocket and stole $38.
