North Baltimore Crime: Group Home TV Stolen for Drugs

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated Assault: 200 block of E. 25th Street, 11:34 p.m., Oct. 28. The assailant accused a woman of stealing drugs and struck her in the face with a crutch.

Larceny from Auto: 5900 block of York Road, between 8 and 9 p.m., Oct. 31. A purse, two cell phones and various credit cards were stolen from a blue 2008 Honda CRV.

Larceny from Auto: 2600 block of St. Paul Street, between 7:07 and 7:30 p.m., Oct. 28. The window of a 1999 Oldsmobile was broken and a GPS was stolen.

Stolen Auto: 2500 block of N. Calvert Street, between 7:40 p.m., Nov. 1 and 12:30 a.m., Nov. 2. A 1994 Buick Century was stolen.

Hampden

Larceny Other: 1100 block of W. 36th Street, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Oct. 28. A Coach wallet, checkbook and license were stolen from an unlocked desk in an office.

Attempted Stolen Auto: 1400 block of W. 36th Street, between 6 p.m., Oct. 28 and 10:30 a.m., Oct. 30. The window of a 2001 Dodge Ram’s window was smashed out and the steering column was damaged.

Larceny Shoplifting: 3600 block of Falls Road, 4:46 p.m., Oct. 31. Two boxes of Reeses’ peanut butter milk chocolate were stolen but both thieves were arrested. 

Larceny from Auto: 3000 block of Chestnut Avenue, between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., Nov. 1.  A doorframe and two windows of a 2012 red Lexus were damaged and an iPod was stolen.

Homeland

Stolen Auto: 5400 block of York Road, 5:30 p.m., Oct. 31. A tan 2001 Chevy Suburban was stolen. 

Larceny Other: 100 block of Tunbridge Road, 8 p.m., Oct. 31. A hunter’s mask and candy were stolen from a child walking in the block.

Lake Walker

Burglary Residential: 800 block of Cedarcroft Road, 9 a.m., Oct. 28. Burglars entered a home through a basement window and stole Wilson Golf Clubs; a 41 inch television; a Nikon camera; various DVDs; a container of change; a Swenson brand handmade mandolin and seven half-gallons of liquor.

Mid-Govans

Larceny Other: 5400 block of York Road, 6:08 p.m., Nov. 1. A man was counting his money when a thief snatched it from his hands and ran out the door.

Mt. Washington

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 1900 block of South Road, between 3 p.m., Oct. 28 and 9 a.m., Oct. 30. Someone ransacked an unlocked 2007 Toyota Prius.  

Burglary Garage: 2200 block of South Road, between 11 p.m., Oct. 29 nd 8 a.m., Oct. 30. A burglar broke into the garage and stole an iPod Nano and a Garmin GPS from a 2011 Volvo.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 2000 block of Sulgrave Avenue, 8:20 a.m., Oct. 30. A thief ransacked a unlocked 2007 Honda.

Larceny from Auto: 2000 block of Sulgrave Avenue, 8:20 a.m., Oct. 30. $2 in coins were stolen from a black 2008 Scion.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 2000 block of Sulgrave Avenue, 8:20 a.m., Oct. 30. A car was broken into and ransacked.

Winston-Govans

Larceny Other: 5200 block of York Road, 5 a.m., Oct. 29. A resident in a group home stole a television from a common area and sold it for drugs. An officer was called to the home, saw surveillance video of the thief taking the television and made an arrest.

Woodberry

Larceny from Building: 3600 block of Clipper Mill Road, between 5 and 6:20 p.m., Oct. 31. A white Apple MacBook was stolen from an unlocked room.
