North Baltimore Crime: Man Caught with Handgun in Hampden

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Auto: 3100 block of Keswick Road, between 6 p.m., April 15 and 12:45 p.m., April 16. A red 1994 Plymouth van was stolen.

Handgun Violation: 3300 block of Keswick Road, 10:20 a.m., April 15. A man was arrested and charged with a handgun violation after police received a tip that the man was armed. Police stopped and searched the suspect, then found a 9 millimeter handgun.

Larceny from Auto: 800 block of Union Ave., between 4:35 and 7:15 p.m., April 15. A license plate was stolen from a 1997 Mercury.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2800 block of Greenmount Ave., 8:28 a.m., April 16. A shoplifter stole detergent and ran east on 28th Street.

Charles Village

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of E. 29th St., between 5:45 and 7:15 p.m., April 17.  A laptop, laptop bag and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a gold 2008 Toyota Accord.

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of E. 30th St., between 10:30 p.m., April 17 and 8:30 a.m., April 18. A GPS was stolen from a red 1995 Honda Civic.

Larceny from Auto: 2700 block of St. Paul St., between 7 p.m., April 17 and 6:45 a.m., April 18. A Magellan GPS and an Apple iPod were stolen from a black 1998 Toyota Corolla.

Burglary Residential: unit block E. Univeristy Parkway, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., April 19. A burglar entered through an unlocked door and stole two laptops and $5.

Abell

Attempted Burglary Residential: 3200 block of Abell Ave., between 6 p.m., April 17 and 4:10 p.m., April 19. Someone tried to remove a side screen to get into the house.

Pen Lucy

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Old York Road, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., April 18. A radio was stolen from a vehicle.

Armed Robbery: 3600 block of Old York Road, 5:45 a.m., April 16. A man was walking when a silver Honda pulled up beside him. One of the people in the car pointed a shotgun at him and said “drop the bag [expletive].” The man complied and ran away south. The robbers picked up his bag and drove east.

Lake Evesham

Larceny from Auto: 6000 block of Bellona Ave., between 2 and 9 a.m., Feb 15. An iPod and an iPlayer were stolen from a 2006 Chevy after its window was broken.

Rosebank

Larceny from Auto: 400 block of Rosebank Ave., between 8:30 p.m., April 17 and 8:30 a.m., April 18.  A Nokia cell phone, paperwork and a silver cloth bag were stolen from a blue 2003 Honda.

Aggrivated Assault: 5800 block of York Road, at 1:45 p.m., April 17. Two people got into an argument at a dentist office. One person kicked and damaged a door and tried to stab the other with a pen from a clipboard.

Oakenshawe

Burglary Residential: 200 block of E. University Parkway, between noon and 1:30 p.m., April 16. A burglar entered the house through an unlocked rear door and stole a laptop.

Larceny from Auto: 300 block of E. University Parkway, between 8 p.m., April 16 and 7:30 a.m., April 17. A Blue Tooth device was stolen from a silver 2003 Hyundai Elantra.

Robbery Armed: 300 block of E. University Parkway, 8:30 p.m., April 19. A woman was walking when a robber approached and demanded her property. She yelled at the robber, told him to get away and tried to call the police. The robber then told her to give him her phone and then hit her in the ear and neck area with a brick and stole her iPhone.       

Guilford

Stolen Auto: 4600 block of Kernewood Ave., between 6:50 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., April 16. A green 2004 Buick Park Avenue was stolen.         

Burglary Garage: 3800 block of Greenway, between 10 a.m., April 17 and 10:45 a.m., April 18. A Fuji 24 speed bike was stolen from an unlocked garage.

Mount Washington

Burlgary Residential: 2800 block of Manhattan Ave., 11:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., April 18. A burglar pushed in a window AC unit and used a lawn chair to stand on and climb through the window. The burglar ransacked the house before the resident came home and the burglar ran away.

Larceny from Auto: 2300 block of Sulgrave Ave., between 10 p.m., April 18 and 7:45 a.m., April 19. A laptop was stolen from a 2004 Toyota.
