North Baltimore Crime: Man Robbed at Gunpoint Near Belvedere Square

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery Armed: 500 block of Orkney Road, 9:35 p.m. May 8. A man got off the bus when two robbers approached him and hit him in the face, probably with a handgun. He fell to the ground and one of the robbers told him to hand over his money or he would “blow you away.”

Larceny: 2700 block of Sisson St., between 4:30 p.m. May 6 and 10:30 a.m. May 7. Someone disengaged a gas pump at the BP station and pumped out 311 gallons of gas.

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of Melville Ave., between 8 p.m. May 6 and 8:30 a.m. on May 7.  A DVD player, Garmin GPS and pocketbook were stolen from a 2002 Honda.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2900 block of Greenmount Ave., 8:50 a.m. May 6. A shoplifter stole incense and ran southbound on Greenmount.

Homeland

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 5200 block of Tilbury Way, 12:30 a.m. May 6. The window of a 2001 Acura was broken but nothing was stolen.

Robbery Commercial Armed: 5400 block of York Road, 6:53 p.m. May 8. A man walked into the Dunkin Donuts and ordered a donut. He then told the clerk he had a gun and announced a robbery. He took money from the cash register and ran.

Larceny from Auto: 4700 block of North Charles St., between 5:53 and 6:50 p.m. May 9. A leather purse and MTA police work ID was stolen from a black 2003 Mercury Mountaineer.   

Cedarcroft

Larceny Shoplifting: 6300 block of York Road, 12:30 p.m. on May 6. A shoplifter attempted to steal batteries from the Rite Aid and was arrested.

Harwood

Larceny Bicycle: 300 block of East Lorraine Ave., between 6 p.m. May 6 and 6 p.m. May 7.  A bike and grill were stolen from the backyard.

Lake-Evesham

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of Sycamore Road, between 7 p.m. May 6 and 7:45 a.m. May 7. A thief stole $25 from an unlocked 2008 Toyota.

Wyndhurst

Larceny from Auto: 5200 block of North Charles Street, between 11 a.m. and noon May 6. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked 2012 Chevy.

Medfield

Burglary Residential: 4400 block of Newport Avenue, between noon and 5:30 p.m. on May 7. A burglar broke in through a basement door and stole $9,200.

Larceny from Auto: 4400 block of Laplata Ave., between 4 p.m. May 9 and 4 p.m. May 10. A Milwaukee saw zaw; two DeWalt drills and two nail guns were among the items stolen from a white 2011 Chevy Express.

Aggravated Assault: 1700 block of West Coldspring Lane, 10:30 p.n. May 12. Several people threw an unknown object at a moving car on Interstate 83. They ran off in an unknown direction.

Larceny Bicycle: 1300 block of Weldon Ave., between 6:30 p.m. May 10 and 7:30 a.m. May 11. A bike was stolen from the front porch of the house.

Charles Village

Robbery Unarmed: 2600 block of St. Paul St., 5:25 p.m. May 7.  Three men approached a man and they asked him for change. When he went to get the change one of the robbers punched him in the face and stole his shoes and book bag.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2500 block of North Charles St., 9:40 p.m. May 7. A shoplifter tried to steal toothpaste. The property was recovered but the shoplifter was able to escape.

Larceny from Auto: 3400 block of North Charles St., between noon and 3 p.m. May 10. A handicap placard was stolen from a black 2008 Honda Accord.

Hampden

Stolen Auto: 700 block of Puritan St., between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. May 7. A burgundy 1999 Dodge van was stolen.

Larceny Shoplifting: 600 block of West 33rd St., 12:55 a.m. May 8.  A shoplifter took various food items from the 7-Eleven.

Pen Lucy

Larceny from Auto: 500 block East 39th St., between 12:30 and 9 a.m. May 7. The window of a 2006 Toyota was broken and an iPod and GPS system were stolen.

Chinquapin Park-Belvedere

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of Evesham Ave., 4:28 a.m. May 8. Earbuds, $11 and Gatorade were stolen from an unlocked 2005 Toyota.

Roland Park

Burglary Residential: 900 block of University Parkway, between 7:20 a.m. and 4:35 p.m. May 9. Purses and jewelry were stolen from a house after a burglar broke in using a key.

Guilford

Larceny from Auto: 4400 block of Millbrook Road, between 7 p.n. May 8 and 11 a.m. May 9.  The window of a blue 2006 Honda Civic was damaged and a Tom Tom GPS was stolen.

Villages of Homeland

Burglary Residential: 300 block of Homeland Southway, between 10 p.m. May 11 and 7 a.m. May 12. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear window and took a laptop, purse and bike. The burglar found the resident’s car keys and used the 2002 Mercedes to drive away with the property.

Winston-Govans

Burglary Residential: 500 block Chateau Ave., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 12. A burglar entered the home and stole a washer, a dryer and a refrigerator.

Burglary Residential: 500 block Winston Ave., between 12:05 and 1:05 a.m. May 11. A burglar kicked in the door, rummaged through the house and stole a weed trimmer, jewelry and cologne.
