North Baltimore Crime: Men Robbed on 33rd Street Porch

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery Armed: 300-block E. 33rd Street, 7:40 p.m., March 4. Two men were on the front porch of a home when two robbers approached, one armed with a handgun, and demanded their property. The men on the porch gave the robbers a wallet, cell phones and cash.

Aggravated Assault: 300-block E. University Parkway, 7:30 p.m., March 4. A man was getting ready to enter his apartment when someone approached him from behind and told him to “stay the [expletive] away from my man.” The man then pushed his assailant away and retreated into his house.

Attempted Robbery Unarmed: 300-block E. 33rd Street, 8 p.m., March 5. A woman was waiting at a bus stop when someone tried to steal her purse. The woman was able to keep possession of the purse and the-would-be robber ran north on University Parkway.

Aggravated Assault: 300-block E. University Parkway, 8 p.m., March 5. A woman came to a man’s home with a large group of people. The woman was threatening him with a knife and threatened to cut him. She then gave the knife to one of the people in the group and received an unknown object in return. She held the object behind her back and threatened to shoot the man.  The suspect was arrested.

Rosebank

Aggravated Assault: 5800-block York Road, 11:30 p.m., March 4.  Two men bumped into each other while walking. They exchanged words and began fighting. During the fight one man cut the other on the wrist with a pocketknife.

Hampden

Robbery Commercial Unarmed: 3700 block Falls Road, 3 p.m., March 6. The robber attempted to take a hair clipper and beard trimmer from Rite Aid when the cashier tried to stop him. The robber pushed the cashier out of the way and ran off on foot.

Burglary Residential: 800-block Union Avenue, between 1 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., on March 5. A burglar entered a home by removing a front window and stole a Coach purse, $950 and an engagement ring.

Robbery Armed: 1200 block Morling Avenue, 11:14 p.m., March 9. A man was talking with someone when the robber struck him on the head. When the man looked up the robber was pointing a black handgun at him and demanded all his property. The robber went through the man’s pockets and took his license and $400.

Abell

Robbery Commercial Unarmed: 3100 block Greenmount Avenue, 4 p.m., March 6. A robber tried to take to bottles of lotion. When a cashier confronted the robber he pushed the cashier out of the way and ran off. The suspect was arrested.

Radnor-Winston

Larceny from Building: 5100 block York Road, 8 p.m., March 5. Copper wire was left on the side of the building and was stolen.

Charles Village

Burglary Residential: 3000 block N. Calvert Street, 9 p.m., March 5. The burglar pried open the front door and came in the house but was confronted by the resident. The burglar ran off back through the front door.

Larceny from Auto: 3900 block N. Charles Street, between 8 a.m., March 7 and 10:52 a.m., March 8. A registration sticker was stolen from a 2003 Volkswagen.

Burglary Residential: 3100 block of St. Paul Street, 7:32 p.m. on March 6. A burglar pushed the homes front door open, took $15 and left.  The resident had incident on video from phone and the burglar was arrested. 

Chinquapin Park-Belvedere

Larceny from Auto: 500 block E. Northern Parkway, between 7 and 7:30 p.m., March 5. A crock-pot was stolen from a car.

Larceny from Auto: 500 E. Northern Parkway, between 7:30 p.m., March 9 and 10:30 a.m., March 10.  The window of a 2005 Ford was broken and a briefcase and personal papers were stolen.

Jones Falls Area

Stolen Auto: 2700 block Falls Road, between 9:17 p.m., March 4 and 7 a.m., March 5. Potts and Callahan reported a green 2000 Mack truck had been stolen.
