North Baltimore Crime: Popeye's Employees Robbed

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Auto: 3500 block Roland Ave., between 1 and 2 a.m., April 8. A silver 2005 Subaru Outback was reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered in the 2500 block of Hickory Avenue the same day it was reported missing.

Larceny from Auto: 800 block W. Lake Ave., between midnight and 6:30 a.m., on April 12. A wallet with a license, credit card and $20 was stolen from an unlocked 2008 Ford.

Larceny from Auto: 5900 block Meadowood Road, between midnight and 6:40 a.m., April 12. A license and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked 1998 Mercury.

Charles Village

Stolen Auto: 2600 block N. Calvert St., between 7:30 p.m., April 10 and 5:35 p.m., April 12. A gold 1994 Honda Accord was stolen.

Burglary Garage: 2700 block N. Calvert St., between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. April 11. A bike was stolen from an unlocked garage.

Commercial Robbery Unarmed: 2900 block Calvert St., 6:12 p.m., April 11. A man was seen stealing a bottle of Vodka from the Schnapps Shop. The storeowner confronted the man and the two began to fight. A responding officer arrested the shoplifter.

Radnor-Winston

Commercial Armed Robber: 5000-block York Road, 10:36 p.m., April 9. An employee of Popeye’s was taking out the trash when two robbers armed with handguns forced him back inside. The two robbers then forced all of the employees on the floor and demanded to know where the money was kept. The employees told the robbers the money was kept in a safe. They then took an employee's purse and forced the rest to put money from their pockets in the bag and ran.

Better Waverly

Robbery Commercial Unarmed: 2800 block Greenmount Ave., 9:03 p.m., April 11. A man was trying to shoplift toiletries from the Family Dollar when a store manager approached him. The man denied that he was shoplifting, pushed the manager and left the store. The man later returned to the store with the items and was arrested.

Burglary Residential: 2600 block Boone St., between 9:30 a.m. an 4:40 p.m., April 11. Two televisions, an iPad, laptop and DVD player were stolen after a burglar entered the home through an unlocked front door.   

Mid-Govans

Attempted Burglary Garage: 5800 block Clearspring Road, between 8 p.m., April 9 and 7 a.m., April 10.  A burglar damaged the padlocked door of a garage.

Burglary Garage: 5800 block Clearspring Road, between 8 p.m., April 9, and 7 a.m. April 10. The burglar damaged the side door lock, broke it and stole a bike and a weed whacker.

Burglary Residential: 5600 block Govane Ave., between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., April 11. A television, PlayStation 3, Xbox, lock box and a Social Security card were stolen after a burglar kicked in the rear basement door and entered the home.

Wilson Park

Stolen Auto: 500-block E. 43rd St., between midnight and 12:10 a.m., April 10. A green 2000 Ford Windstar was stolen.

Burglary Residential: 500-block E. 43rd St., 11:11 p.m., April 9. The people were evicted from a residence earlier in the day. They returned and entered the house through an unlocked front window. A responding officer arrested them.

Chinquapin Park-Belvedere

Larceny from Auto: 500 block E. Northern Parkway, between 7:45 and 10 p.m., April 9. The window of a 2010 Nissan was broken with a brick and an iPod charger and a Garmin GPS was stolen from the car.
