North Baltimore Crime: Scissors Wielding Robber Demands 10 Cartons of Cigarettes

West 41st Street, 1000 block, 11:44 p.m., on Oct. 29. A robber entered the Royal Farms Store with a pair of scissors and said, “Give me money and 10 cartons of cigarettes.” The robber took money and two cartons of cigarettes before running away.   

West 36th Street, 800 block, 5:13 a.m., on Oct. 23. A burglar threw a brick through the front window of Keller’s Liquor Store, stole liquor and fled.

Better Waverly

Boone Street, 2700 block, 8:46 p.m., on Oct. 24. A woman saw a fight in the street and attempted to break it up. When she tried to stop the fight, one of the men involved in the struggle started punching her and hit her in the face with a trashcan. Then several other men began hitting her with a stick and splashed oil on her vehicle.

Tuscany-Canterbury

West University Parkway, 100 block, 11:21 p.m., Oct. 26. A robber with a knife approached a man and grabbed him by his jacket. The robber said, “Give me all your stuff.” The man dropped his cell phone and showed the robber he had no other property. The robber picked up the cell phone and fled.

Charles Village

Guilford Avenue, 3000 block, 1:40 a.m., Oct. 28. A man was walking in an alley when two assailants approached and tried to hit him with a metal pipe. They missed and ran away.

Maryland Avenue, 2500 block, 12:49 p.m., Oct. 25. A burglar broke into Delta Holdings LLC and stole a “boombox.” The burglar tried to flee but was stopped and arrested by responding officers.

Pen Lucy

East 43rd Street, 500 block, 4 p.m., Oct. 28. A boy approached a schoolmate and tried to hit him. He then went through the schoolmate's pocket and took $20 and a cell phone.

Remington

Sisson Street, 2600 block, 4:13 a.m., Oct. 24. A former employee entered Baltimore Taxi and tried to take some construction lamps. A current employee caught him and the burglar dropped the lamp and drove off in a black Cadillac.
