North Baltimore Crime: Shoplifter Swipes Shrimp

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny Shoplifting: 600 block of E. 33rd Street, 11:25 a.m., March 18. A shoplifter picked up $40 of shrimp from Giant and tried to leave without paying. The shoplifter was caught and issued a citation. 

Larceny Shoplifting: 600 block of E. 33rd Street, 4:30 p.m., March 19. A shoplifter stole various food items from the Giant. A security guard gave chase but the shoplifter was able to escape.

Burglary Commercial: 600 block of Homestead Street, 4:13 a.m., March 19. The glass window of the front door at ACE Hardware was broken open and the burglars stole $1,300, a safe and two register drawers.

Larceny: 2800 block of N. Calvert Street, between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., March 18. A thief entered the vestibule of an apartment building and stole the contents of a package.

Guilford

Larceny from Auto: 100 Overhill Road, between 3 and 5:50 p.m., March 19. A purse with $225 was stolen from a 2010 Mercury with New Jersey plates.

Hampden

Stolen Auto: 3200 block Keswick Road, between 9 p.m., March 18 and 2:30 p.m., March 19. A silver 2001 Toyota was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Conduit Avenue, between 9:30 p.m., March 18 and 11:20 a.m., March 19. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2006 Nissan.

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Conduit Avenue, between 9:30 p.m., March 18 and 11:20 a.m., March 19. A Tom Tom GPS was stolen from a 2008 Jeep.

Jones Falls Area 

Larceny from Auto: 800 Wyman Park Drive, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., March 19. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2012 Volvo. 

Medfield

Larceny from Auto: 1400 block of S. Weldon Place, between 10 p.m., March 18 and 7:45 a.m., March 19. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2012 Toyota.

Oakenshawe

Larceny from Auto: 3300 Brentwood Avenue, between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., March 18. Gold bracelets were stolen from a 2002 Mercedes.  

Pen Lucy 

Burglary Residential: 4000 block of Wilsby Avenue, between 6 and 7 a.m., March 18. A burglar broke into a home and stole various food items.

Roland Park

Disorderly Conduct: 100 block of Deepdene Road, 10:24 p.m., March 17. A juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Burglary Commercial: 5100 block of Roland Avenue, between 2:45 and 4:45 a.m., March 19. A burglar forced open the front door lock of Starbucks Coffee, checked the register for cash but didn’t find any and left through the rear door setting off the alarm.

Wyndhurst

Larceny: 5000 block of Roland Avenue, between 11:20 a.m. and 4:03 p.m., March 19. A package containing a soymilk maker was stolen from outside the home.
