North Baltimore Crime: Spate of Car Break-Ins Hit Hampden

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny from Auto: 5700 block of Clearspring Road, between 10 p.m., April 18 and 11 a.m., April 19. A Maryland tag was stolen from a 2010 Dodge.

Larceny Shoplifting: 601 E. 33rd St., noon, April 17. A thief tried to steal $24.12 worth of food but was caught and issued a citation.

Larceny Shoplifting: 3133 Greenmount Ave., 2:25 p.m., April 18. A thief stole two VSOP Paul Mason liquor bottles.

Charles Village

Larceny from Auto: 100 block W. 27th Street, between 4 and 5:30 a.m., April 18. An MP3 player, various CDs and DVDs were stolen from a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta.

Attempted Burglary Residential: 2800 block of Guilford Avenue, between 8 p.m., April 18, and 4:30 p.m., April 19. A burglar trying to break-in to the house damaged a front door. 

Larceny from Machine: 201 E. University Parkway, between 6 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., April 18. A thief broke into a vending machine at Union Memorial Hospital and stole coins.

Hampden

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Roland Avenue, between 9 p.m., April 16 and 6:15 a.m., April 17. The window of a car was broken and an iPhone 4S and a lottery ticket were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 700 block of W. 36th Street, between 9 p.m., April 16 and 8:30 a.m., and April 17. Three cellphones were stolen from a 2002 Honda Accord.

Larceny from Auto: 1100 block of W. 37th Street, 1 a.m., April 17. The window of a 2003 Subaru was shattered and a broken GPS was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 800 block of W. 37th Street, between 10 p.m., April 18 and 3:30 p.m., April 19.  The window of a 2003 Hyundai was broken and a backpack and various items of clothing were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Falls Cliff Road, between 3:30 and 4:45 p.m., April 19. The window of a 2007 Honda was broken and an iPhone, case and charger were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3100 block of Falls Cliff Road, between noon and 3:55 p.m., April 19. The window of a 2010 Pontiac was shattered and a PC Tablet was stolen.

Loyola/Notre Dame

Larceny Other: 4700 block of N. Charles Street, between 3:30 p.m., April 19 and 7 a.m., April 20. A lock box, wiring and extension cords were stolen from a construction site.

Larceny Other: 4700 block of N. Charles Street, between 5 p.m., April 19 and 6:30 a.m., April 20. A copper pipe was stolen from a construction site.

Larceny Other: 4700 block of N. Charles Street, between 5 p.m., April 19 and 6:30 a.m., April 20. Various tools were stolen from a construction site.

Mt. Washington

Larceny Shoplifting: 1609 Sulgrave Ave., 8 p.m., April 17. A thief stole a black jacket, lunch bag and a bag of strawberries but was caught by Maryland Transit Administration police.

Poplar Hill

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of W. Northern Parkway, between 5 and 5:40 p.m., April 18. The window of a 2011 GMC truck was shattered and a purse, personal papers and a license were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of W. Northern Parkway, between 3:45 and 5:30 p.m., April 18. The window of a 2002 Honda was shattered and a purse, personal papers and a license were stolen. 

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of W. Northern Parkway, between 5:20 and 5:40 p.m., April 18. A window of a 2008 BMW was broken and a purse, personal papers and a camera were stolen.

Remington

Burglary Residential: 2600 block of Miles Avenue, 8:01 p.m., April 20. Burglars forced open a front window of a home and stole cash, a bracelet and an ID. The resident saw the burglars and knows them from the neighborhood. Detectives were scheduled to follow up.  

Waverly

Burglary Residential: 500 block of E. 34th Street, between 7 a.m. and 3:28 p.m., April 19. A burglar kicked in a rear door window and stole a safe, jewelry and personal papers. Another resident in the 3400 block of Greenmount Avenue recovered the safe and personal papers. 

Wilson Park

Stolen Auto: 500 block of E. 43rd Street, between 11:15 p.m., April 17 and 7:15 a.m., April 18. A 1992 Lexus with Maryland tags was stolen.
