North Baltimore Crime: Stranger Enters Home, Assaults Hampden Man

Union Avenue, 1200 block, 7:54 p.m. Oct. 3. An unknown person entered a man’s home, hit him in the face and cut him with an unknown weapon, police said. A friend tried to intervene and was cut on the abdomen with an unknown object.

Hickory Avenue, 3400 block, between 9 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8 a.m. Oct. 5. The woman who lives at this house went upstairs for the night. When she came down the next morning, she found the front window open and her purse missing. The purse was found in the front yard and the credit cards that were inside were missing, police said.

Charles Village

Guilford Avenue, 3000 block, between 12:20 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Oct. 3. A burglar entered through an unlocked back door and reportedly stole two laptops, a camera, an MP3 player, $550 and headphones, police said.

West 25th Street, unit block, 3:08 a.m. Oct. 5. Police responded to a silent alarm at Matz Enterprises and found someone had entered the front door using a pry tool. An Apple laptop was reported missing.

Homeland

Churchwardens Road, 100 block, 10:40 a.m. Oct. 7. A would-be burglar used a patio chair to climb to a second floor window and entered the home. Once inside, an audible alarm was triggered and the person ran out of the home.
