North Baltimore Crime: Taxi Stolen Then Burned

Loyola/ Notre Dame

Stolen Auto: 14 W. Cold Spring Lane, 2:05 a.m. Jan 27.  A 2005 Ford Crown Victoria from Freedom Taxi Cab when a driver left the vehicle running unattended. The vehicle was found set on fire in the 5800 block of York Road about 20 minutes after it was reported stolen, police said.

Homeland

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 5900 block Brackenridge Ave., 5:05 a.m.  Jan 22. Someone tried to gain entrance to a 2008 Audi, but nothing was reported taken.

Mount Washington

Larceny from Auto: 1300 block Smith Ave., 8:30 p.m. Jan 23. A Macbook and a laptop case were reported stolen from a 2011 Honda.

Burglary Residential: 6100 block Eastcliff Drive, between 7 p.m. Jan 23 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 24. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked side door and stole a laptop before leaving the residence, police said.

Abell

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block Barclay St., between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 23. A TomTom GPS and a car radio were reported stolen from a 2004 Ford.

Stolen Auto: 3100 block Barclay St., between 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. Jan. 25. A red 2001 Mitsubishi Montero was reported stolen.

Pen Lucy

Burglary Residential: 4200 block York Road, 7 p.m. Jan 23.  A juvenile kicked in the door to gain entry, but left the home without taking anything, police said.

Rosebank

Armed Robbery: 400 block Hutchins Ave., 8:33 a.m. Jan 24. A robber approached a woman from behind and demanded her purse. When she turned around she saw the robber had a knife and she threw her purse. The robber picked up the bag and ran, police said.

Attempted Armed Robbery: 500 block Orkney Road, 12:36 a.m. Jan. 26. Two men were standing near a vehicle when two robbers, one armed with a silver handgun, approached them and demanded everything in their pockets. One of the men told the robbers that the police had just driven by and the second man denied having anything in his pockets. The robbers then ran east on Orkney Road without taking anything.

Stolen Auto: 6100 block Bellona Ave., between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 24. A 2008 silver Chevy Trailblazer was reported stolen.

Roland Park

Larceny from Auto: 100 block Beechdale Road, between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 8:45 a.m. Jan. 26. An unknown amount of money was reported stolen from a 2007 Toyota Sienna.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 5800 Clarks Hill Road, between 6 p.m.  Jan. 25 and 8:15 a.m. Jan. 26. The owner of a car failed to lock the vehicle and someone went through it, police said.

Stolen Auto: 5800 Clarks Hill Road, between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 8:15 a.m. Jan. 26. A 2003 Toyota Rav 4 was reported stolen.

Evergreen

Stolen Auto: 300 block Alpine Road, between 11:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 6:30 a.m. Jan 26. A 2009 grey Mazda ABY was reported stolen.

Cedarcroft

Burglary Garage: 400 block Hollen Road, between noon Jan. 22 and 4:50 p.m. Jan 28. A burglar broke a padlock and stole a portable generator, police said.
