North Baltimore Crime: Thieves Target GPS Units

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny: 400 block of Gittings Avenue, 4:31 a.m., July 5. A Husky 5000-watt gas powered generator was stolen from outside of a garage while it was still running.

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of West 29th Street, between 11 p.m., July 1 and 1 p.m., July 2. A Garmin GPS was stolen after the window of a blue 2002 Toyota Camry was broken.

Stolen Auto: 2900 block of North Baltimore, between 1 and 11:30 a.m., July 2. A black 2002 Volkswagen was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 2700 block of North Calvert Street, between 1 p.m., July 3 and 9:30 p.m., July 4. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a Supreme Cab 2008 Ford Crown Victoria after a window was broken.

Burglary Residential: 200 block of East 25th Street, between 7:30 and 8:40 a.m., July 4. A burglar entered the home through a front window and stole a stand up air conditioning unit and a Makita hammer drill.

Larceny from Auto: unit block of Art Museum Drive, A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2011 grey Chevy Traverse after a window was broken.

Guilford

Burglary Residential: 300 block of Suffolk Road, between12:30 and 6 a.m., July 2. A burglar forced open a rear door but no property was listed as missing.

Hampden

Larceny from Auto: 800 block of Powers Street, between 10 p.m., July 3 and 11 a.m., July 4. A Black and Decker lawn mower, a Black and Decker trimmer and a Black and Decker edger was stolen from the backyard.

Larceny Shoplifting: 3600 block of Roland Avenue, 12:11 a.m., July 3. A shoplifter stole $3.26 worth of candy and was arrested.

Homeland

Larceny: 5300 block of York Road, 10:30 p.m., July 1. A customer was buying food when his wallet was stolen.

Pen Lucy

Burglary Commercial: 4000 block of Old York Road, between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., July 5. A burglar broke a rear window and stole cash, lottery tickets, cleaning supplies and soda.

Roland Park

Burglary: 500 block of Woodlawn Road, 10:25 p.m., July 5. Burglars entered the garage but the owner yelled at them to get out and they ran off.

Waverly

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Old York Road, between 11 p.m., July 4 and 2 a.m., July 5. A purple purse and a laptop were stolen from 2006 Hyundai Tucson after a window was broken.

Burglary Residential: 500 block of East 35th Street, between 11:45 a.m. and 8 p.m., July 2. A burglar entered through a front window and stole a laptop, two iPhones, a cable modem and a cable box.

Wilson Park

Burglary Commercial: 4300 block of York Road, between 6 p.m., July 4 and 9:15 a.m., July 5. A burglar entered Public Storage through a front door and stole master store keys, a surveillance system PEICO DVR, cash and a small lock.
