North Baltimore Crime: Thieves Target Vehicles

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny from Auto: 3200 block of Abell Avenue, between 12:01 a.m., Dec. 31 and 3 p.m., Jan. 3. A radio was stolen from a 2002 Honda Civic.

Larceny Shoplifting: 400 block E. 33rd Street, 4 a.m., Jan. 1. The thief left the store without paying for a bottle of Lipton tea. The thief was arrested but the property wasn’t recovered because the thief threw the bottle on the roof.

Charles Village

Larceny from Auto: 100 block W. 29th Street, between noon, Dec. 30 and 9:45 a.m., Dec. 31. A registration sticker was stolen from the license plate of a 2001 Volvo.

Aggravated Assault: 2800 N. Calvert Street, 5 a.m., Jan. 1. Two people were in an argument when one person grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the other person. The injured person then ran away while their wound was being treated.

Larceny from Auto: 2500 block of N. Charles Street, between 8:40 a.m. and 1 p.m., Jan. 3. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2006 Nissan Sentra.

Larceny from Auto: 2600 Mace Street, between 8 a.m. and 8:45 p.m., Jan. 4. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2008 Ford truck.

Larceny from Auto: 200 block E. 25th Street, 11:28 a.m., Jan. 5. A burglar broke into the home through a rear window and stole a movie projector, watches, a diamond ring and Nikon cameras.

Hampden

Larceny Other: 3600 block of Roland Avenue, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Dec. 30. A black MacBook Pro was stolen from an unlocked office.

Larceny from Auto: 900 block of W. 34th Street, between 9 p.m., Dec. 31 and 12:30 a.m., Jan 1. A brown bad was stolen from a 2002 Saturn.

Larceny from Auto: 3500 block of Sweet Air Street, between 7 p.m., Jan. 2. And 9 a.m., Dec. 5. The rear Maryland tag of a 2012 Ford Focus was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3000 block of Chestnut Avenue, between 6:30 and 11:30 a.m., Jan. 3. An iPad was stolen from a 2001 Dodge Neon.

Burglary Residential: 1000 block of W. 37th Street, between 6:45 and 10:40 p.m., Jan. 4. A burglar entered the home through a rear door and stole a 46-inch television, a DVD player and a MacBook Pro.

Burglary Residential: 800 block of W. 34th Street, between 8 a.m. and 8:40 p.m., Jan. 4. A burglar entered the home through a side window but didn’t take any property.

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Keswick Road, between 2 p.m., Jan. 4 and 1 p.m., Jan. 5. A DeWalt Drill was stolen from a 2003 Ford truck.

Hoes Heights

Larceny from Auto: 4200 block of Hickory Avenue, between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., Jan. 1. A Google Nexus was stolen from a 2012 Cadillac.

Homeland

Larceny from Auto: 6000 block of Bellona Avenue, between 11:30 p.m., Dec. 31 and 1 p.m., Jan. 1. A 2007 Toyota Corolla’s window was busted out and a Garmin GPS was stolen.

Lake Walker

Burglary Garage: 700 block of E. Lake Avenue, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Jan. 5. A burglar broke into the garage and stole a Canondale bike.

Loyola/Notre Dame

Larceny: 4500 block of N. Charles Street, between 7 and 10:45 a.m., Jan. 3. A wallet with a driver’s license and credit cards was stolen from an unlocked office.

Medfield

Larceny from Auto: 1400 block Redfern Avenue, between 11 p.m., Dec. 30 and 7:30 a.m., Dec. 31. A DeWalt drill and a Kobalt drill bit set were stolen from a 2006 Chevy Silverado.

Larceny from Auto: 4400 Buena Vista Avenue, between 5 p.m., Dec. 31 and 7 a.m., Jan. 2. A DVD player was stolen from a 2004 Ford.

Larceny from Auto: 1500 Woodheights Avenue, between 2 and 8 a.m., Jan. 2. A Nintendo DS and an iPad 2 were stolen from a 2009 Dodge Durango.  

Larceny from Auto: 1400 block of Medfield Avenue, between 1:30 and 2 p.m., Jan. 4. A Dell laptop and various items of clothing were stolen from a 2008 Toyota Rav 4.

Mount Washington

Larceny from Auto: 6100 block of Westcliff Drive, between 5 p.m., Dec. 30 and 8 a.m., Dec. 31. An iPhone 4 was stolen from a 2006 Toyota Prius.

Larceny from Auto: 2100 block of Northcliff Drive, 2:40 a.m., Dec. 31. A Garmin GPS and a hands free device were stolen from a 2001 Toyota Matrix.

North Roland Park/Poplar Hill

Larceny from Auto: 1100 W. Northern Parkway, between 10 p.m., Dec. 30 and 6 a.m., Dec. 31. A trim nailer, a Bosch jig saw, DeWalt Drill and Hammer screwdriver were stolen from a 2008 Chevrolet van.   

Pen Lucy

Aggravated Assault: 4100 Old York Road, 7:18 p.m., Jan. 3. A man was walking in the block when assailants attacked him with a knife and threw him on the ground. The man suffered a cut to his hand from the knife, but refused medical treatment.

Remington

Aggravated Assault: 300 block of W. 28th Street, 6:30 p.m., Jan. 2. A woman, armed with a knife, approached a man and told him "you better give me money soon."

Larceny from Auto: 2600 Huntingdon Avenue, between noon, Jan. 1 and 9:30 a.m., Jan. 2. A Tom Tom GPS was stolen from a 2001 Chevy Lumina.

Richnor Springs

Burglary Residential: 4700 block of Old York Road, 10:52 a.m., Dec. 31. Two burglars were caught in the home cutting copper pipe out of the basement. 

Larceny from Auto: 4800 block of Alahambra Avenue, between 8 p.m., Dec. 31 and 7:30 a.m., Jan 1. A floor buffer and a wet vac were stolen from a 2007 Ford.

Rosebank

Larceny from Auto: 5700 block of York Road, between 10:20 and 11:15 p.m., Jan. 4. A Garmin GPS, $180 and a wallet were stolen from a 2012 Honda Civic.

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: 300 Tuscany Road, between 8 p.m., Jan. 4 and 8:45 a.m., Jan. 5. A Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2006 Toyota Highlander.

Larceny from Auto: 3925 Linkwood Road, between 8 p.m., Jan. 4 and 11:30 a.m., Jan. 5. Credit cards were stolen from a 2007 Acura MDX.

Wilson Park

Burglary Residential: 500 block of Oakland Avenue, between 4 p.m., Dec. 30 and 11:30 a.m., Jan. 1.  A burglar broke in through a rear window and sole copper piping and a utility gas meter.

Winston Govans

Larceny: 5200 block of York Road, 12:10 p.m., Jan. 2. A purse containing various personal property and $75 was stolen.
