North Baltimore Crime: Vehicles a Popular Target During Holidays

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction

Larceny from Auto: Abell Avenue, 3000 block, between midnight and 7 a.m., Dec. 25. $400, a webcam, gift cards, two mattresses and other property were stolen from a 2006 Chevy.

Stolen Auto: Goodwood Gardens, 200 block, between 5 p.m. Dec. 25 and 5 a.m. Dec. 26. A 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen.

Stolen Auto:  Wickford Road, 4200 block, between 5 p.m. Dec. 26 and 6 p.m. Dec. 27. A 1991 white Chrysler Sebring was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: Evans Chapel Road, 4100 block, between 6 p.m. Dec. 26 and 4:30 a.m. Dec. 27.  A Garmin GPS, and various tools and meters were stolen from a 2009 Ford vehicle.

Pen Lucy

Larceny from Auto: East 41st Street, 500 block, 7:40 p.m. Dec. 26. Ten DVDs and 10 CDs were stolen from a 1991 Acura.

Kernewood

Commercial Armed Robbery: York Road, 4600 block, 8:30 p.m. Dec. 26. A deliveryman was leaving King Wok when a robber entered the store carrying a handgun. The robber demanded the deliveryman give him money. The deliveryman complied but the robber said, “No, I want all of it.” The robber then went through the deliveryman’s pockets, took the rest of his money and ran north on York Road.

Guilford

Residential Robbery Unarmed: Hadley Square West, 3800 block, 1:50 p.m. Dec. 27. A woman was exiting her car to enter her home when a robber approached and first asked, “How are you doing?” The robber then grabbed her purse and tried to run off with the bag. The woman refused to let go and fell to the ground and was dragged until she let go.

Homeland

Attempted Burglary, Residential: Taplow Road, 300 block, 2:15 p.m. Dec. 27. A woman heard a loud sound and went to the kitchen to find out what happened. When she got to the kitchen, she saw a broken window and one of the burglars reaching through it. The burglars then ran away.

Attempted Burglary Garage: Tunbridge Road, 300 block, between midnight and 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 30. A burglar tried to enter a garage through its rear door.

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: West University Parkway, 200 block, between 9 p.m. Dec. 26 and 10 a.m. Dec. 27. A car radio was stolen from a 2003 Ford Ranger. 

Hampden

Attempted Stolen Auto: Roland Avenue, 3800 block, between 11:50 p.m. Dec. 25 and 11 a.m. Dec. 28. Someone attempted to steal a 1990 Dodge Dynasty.

Medfield

Armed Robbery: Falls Road, 4100 block, 2:13 a.m. Dec. 28. A man was standing at a bus stop when three robbers approached him. One robber was carrying a silver revolver ordered the man to the ground and stole $19, five bags of groceries and two black and silver cell phones.   

Winston-Govans

Stolen Auto: Chateau Avenue, 500 block, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. Dec. 28. A 2001 white Acura was stolen.

Charles Village

Larceny from Auto: North Howard Street, 2700 block, between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 28. and 5 p.m. Dec. 29. A 20-foot aluminum ladder was stolen from a 2000 Chevy truck.
