North Baltimore Crime: Video Americain Robbed at Gunpoint

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Commercial Armed Robbery: Cold Spring Lane, 400 block, 9:38 p.m., on Dec. 7. A man robbed  at gunpoint, taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before escaping. The man entered the store and told an employee, “If there are no cameras I can just come behind the counter and shoot you and him.” He then pushed the employee to the ground before taking the money.

Commercial Armed Robbery: Roland Avenue, 4800 block, 7:03 p.m., on Dec. 7. A Falcon Express employee was carrying a bag of bank documents when a man approached and tried to grab the bag. The robber then reached for his waist, implying he had a weapon. The employee told the robber “There is nothing worth anything in the bag.” The suspect then ran away.

Larceny from building: West 36th Street, 1000 block, 8:11 p.m., on Dec. 8. A woman stole a Roosevelt Skate Park donation jar containing about $40 from . She entered the store with a man, who ordered and picked up food before leaving the store. Employees did not realize the jar was missing until after the couple left.

Charles Village

Armed Robbery: West 27th Street, 100 block, 11:53 p.m., on Dec. 6. Two suspects stole a man's iPod, wallet and Blackberry cell phone. The suspects approached the man before one of the robbers tackled him, put an unknown hard object to the man’s neck and said “Give it to me; what’s in your pockets.” The robber then hit the man in his face and took the items. 

Commercial Unarmed Robbery: North Charles Street, 2300 block, 11:40 a.m., on Dec. 7. A man walked into Rita’s Place, went to the cash register and stole an unknown amount of cash. Employees tried to stop him but he pushed them away and ran out of the store.

Larceny: North Charles Street, 2900 block, 9:50 p.m., on Dec. 8.  A man was walking south on North Charles Street and talking on his phone when someone grabbed his iPhone 4 and ran away.  

Better Waverly

Commercial Unarmed Robbery: Greenmount Avenue, 2800 block, 12:20 a.m., on Dec. 7. A would-be shoplifter tried to steal deodorant when Family Dollar security spotted the suspect. As security approached the deodorant thief, the suspect swung at the guard and missed, then shoved the guard and ran away.

Commercial Armed Robbery: Greenmount Avenue, 3100 block, 5:33 p.m., on Dec. 8. A robber entered the store and pointed a handgun at the attendant and ordered her to open the safe. Once the safe was open the suspect put the money in a black backpack and ran out the rear door.
